3 Reasons to Wait for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek
The Subaru Crosstrek is no stranger to being a popular SUV. Back when Subaru first introduced it, folks seemed to appreciate a smaller vehicle that still offered ample ground clearance. Now, Subaru has announced that the next generation of the Crosstrek is on its way. And it is expected to arrive at some point in 2023. So, why should you wait for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek will be all-new
The biggest change for the 2024 Crosstrek is that it will be an all-new SUV. This means that the exterior and interior have been redesigned. Plus, there will probably be a number of other improvements. Although the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek does not look too different from the one that is currently available, the subtle changes are nice to see.
Much like the new Subaru WRX, Subaru has increased the amount of black plastic cladding that surrounds the wheel wells. This does add to a sort of rally look, and it’s been a little bit polarizing to some. The other notable changes are to the headlights and front grille. Both appear to add a more aggressive appearance.
The 2024 Crosstrek will have approved safety
When purchasing a new SUV, safety is an important aspect to consumers. Especially if you are wondering if the Subaru Crosstrek is a good family car. The 2024 Crosstrek will come with improved driver-assistance features. And that should add to driver confidence.
Subaru is known for its EyeSight driver-assist package. And apparently, the new Crosstrek has improved cameras that will help this system function better. It is also possible that more safety features will become standard on Subaru’s small SUV. Plus, it can be expected that more safety tech will be available on the lower trim levels.
The new Subaru Crosstrek has a larger touchscreen
Much like other Subaru models, the 2024 Crosstrek will boast a larger touchscreen. This large vertical screen will probably feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Allowing you to connect your mobile device to your SUV. For the most part, this should be a welcomed change. Most modern cars do offer a large touchscreen as an option.
There is potentially some bad news for the 2024 Crosstrek, and that has to do with its powertrain. At least for the Japanese version of this Subaru SUV, a manual transmission is no longer an option. And there’s not a lot of hope that Subaru will offer a standard transmission here in the States. Granted, most folks do buy their Crosstrek with the CVT. It is nice when a brand gives the consumer a choice.
When is the 2024 Crosstrek coming?
According to Car and Driver, the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek should arrive at some point in 2023. There is not yet an exact release date, and it is going on sale in Japan first.
If you have the ability to wait for a new SUV, that might be the right call if you are interested in Subaru’s small crossover. It should offer a number of improvements over the current model.
