Maybe. Let’s check with the help of Consumer Reports! They send out surveys to thousands of vehicle owners so they can report any problems that they’ve had with their vehicles. This allows them to accurately predict how reliable vehicles will be based on previous model years.

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek has a predicted reliability rating of four out of five. This is a great score that’s above average. Factors that brought the Crosstrek’s score down include minor engine trouble with the 2017 model and transmission problems with the 2016 and 2017 models. The 2016 Crostrek also had issues with the breaks, electric system, and climate system.

The 2021 Subaru Forester also has a predicted reliability rating of four out of five! The 2013 Forester faced engine problems that pulled its score down. Also, the 2014 model had minor transmission issues, and the 2015 model had drive system problems.

The 2021 Subaru Outback has a predicted reliability rating of three out of five, which is average. Trouble spots include engine problems with the 2014 model, transmission problems with the 2016 and 2017 models, body problems with models from 2013 through 2019, and more.
