The 2016 Lexus NX 300h is one of the best used SUVs that owners love

When Edmunds calculated the fuel economy of the 2016 Lexus NX 300h, it came out to between 31 and 32 mpg combined. The NX is the smaller version of the incredibly popular RX SUV, but it has just as many positives. Lexus equipped the NX 300h with a comfortable and spacious back seat. It has a 2.5-liter engine paired with two electric motors, giving the 2016 Lexus NX 300h a combined fuel economy of between 31 and 32 mpg.

Lexus equipped the NX with front-side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and a front passenger cushion airbag for added safety. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2016 NX 300h a five-star safety rating. Don’t overlook the NX for a used SUV that owners love and experts give high marks to.

The only non-hybrid on this list, the 2016 Mazda CX-5 manages just fine with its 2.5-liter engine. This engine gets an outstanding 29 mpg combined when equipped with front-wheel drive. Buyers who opted for all-wheel drive still get 26 mpg combined, which is still excellent.

The CX-5 has comfortable seats in both rows, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning. Plus, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the 2016 CX-5 with the Top Safety Pick Plus award.

A long history of reliability precedes the 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

The 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is what other SUVs aspire to be. It has good fuel economy at 28 mpg combined, three rows, and a long history of reliability. This hybrid SUV has room for seven passengers, while the non-hybrid can fit eight passengers. The Toyota Highlander won’t let you down if you are looking for a used SUV that owners love.

Stability control, antilock disc brakes, and a variety of airbags are standard on the 2016 Highlander. Lexus also included a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, which was unheard of in 2016. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration gave the SUV a five-star overall safety rating. Similarly, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave this Toyota high scores on all of its tests.
