How much range will the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid have?
The official fuel economy rating for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid hasn’t been released. But we do have a few interesting clues to speculate about. For example, it could follow be very fuel efficient or use electric power for a significant performance upgrade, like its larger brother.

Pickup Truck Talk speculates that the Toyota Tacoma Hybrid could be more fuel efficient with up to 38 mpg. It could also have an electric range of about 40 miles if it’s a PHEV or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. But the potential EV and PHEV variants are on the back burner for now.
How much power does the Tacoma Hybrid have?
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid pairs a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a battery pack to provide 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. It uses the same powertrain as the Lexus RX 500h. It gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and up to 28 mpg on the highway.
So, the engine would need some work to squeeze out 38 mpg in the Tacoma Hybrid. Plus, if the truck weighs more, then it could receive a lower fuel economy rating.
Either way, this hybrid powertrain is a massive upgrade. The 2023 Toyota Tacoma currently has a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. We have been waiting for more power and it has finally been delivered
