4 Fast Pontoon Boats That Are so Fancy They Cost Over $300,000 Each
The words “pontoon boat” conjure images of slow, boxy, family-friendly boats that are good for lazy days on the water. Pontoon boats are great for fishing, especially with a larger crowd, or for swimming and sunbathing. Their boxy design makes them easy to enter and exit the water with ease.
However, the humble pontoon boat has seen a bit of a revolution recently. Some manufacturers are designing pontoon boats that can exceed 78 mph and offer luxury items such as full galleys, portable heads, and apps to control certain features remotely. As you would expect, luxury like this comes at a price. Let’s take a look at four pontoon boats that exceed $300,000.
1. Harris Crowne SL270
This luxury pontoon measures 29 feet and features a sculpted topside fiberglass body to give it a little more visual appeal. Up to 900 horsepower of twin Mercury Verado outboards are available, and joystick control allows for simple low-speed maneuvering.
According to the Rob Report, the Harris Crowne SL270 will cost you $549,631 with Powered Sport Arch, twin Mercury 450R outboards, and joystick piloting. For its design, the original Crowne won an NMMA Innovation Award. It did away with the boxy appearance that had previously been associated with pontoon boats in favor of sloping bows and modern exteriors.
2. Bennington 25 QX Sport
The futuristic-looking Bennington 25 QX Sport looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. It is the definition of cutting edge with aggressive exterior contours, a designer color scheme, and an interior design comparable to a high-end luxury car. It has a stunning raked windshield and an integrated Roswell wake tower, a must for towing the water-sports fan.
Additionally, there is a built-in commercial-grade refrigerator and an extra-large sink. This pontoon costs $392,271 with Yamaha 425 outboards that deliver a maximum of 425 hp.
3. Premier Escalante 350
Looking a bit more like the traditional pontoon boat, the Premier Escalante 350’s appearance is like its boxy ancestors aside from the double-decker design. However, don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior. The twin 425-hp outdoor motors will get you where you want to go quickly. This family-friendly pontoon even comes with a water slide that comes off of the second-story top deck.
The main level includes a whopping 36-foot deck, complete with seating galore and a galley equipped with a refrigerator and sink. If that wasn’t enough, it even has a changing room with a porta-potty, sink, and shower. The cost is $370,318 with twin Suzuki 350 outboards.
4. Manitou 27 XT SRW
The Manitou 27 XT SRW is powered by a pair of potent 450-hp Mercury Racing outboards capable of just under 78 mph. Manitou’s V-Toon technology provides better handling and quicker acceleration. Several onboard features can also be managed using a remote transmitter, an app, or a Garmin smartwatch.
According to Triumph Boats, the XT is available in four different layouts, the priciest of which is the Split Rear Windshield, or SRW. A Bimini top with a power arm and LED lights is standard equipment on all models. The price of this luxury pontoon boat is $330,914 with twin Mercury 450R outboards.
There are few things more enjoyable than spending the day on the lake with family and friends, and a pontoon boat is a perfect option because it has the space to accommodate everyone. If you can afford it, these luxury vessels can make your time on the water even more enjoyable by adding a few creature comforts and speed to the basic pontoon boat.
