The 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye has a starting price of $78,745. That makes it an arguable performance bargain but quite a bit more expensive than the Mustang GT. Still, the supercharged 6.2L Hellcat can move its considerable weight to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. If you can keep the tires from melting, you’ll have 797 horsepower at your command. 

Is a Camaro ZL1 faster than a Ford Mustang GT?

The Chevy Camaro has been the natural rival of the Ford Mustang for years. However, if you want a Camaro that will embarrass a Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack, you’ll have to opt for the ZL1. Moreover, according to Car and Driver, the razor-sharp and track-focused Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE will sprint to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. It’s not surprising that the Chevrolet Corvette makes the list of cars faster than a Ford Mustang GT; however, the Corvette costs a lot more. The latest generation, the C8, has a starting price of $62,295 for the 2022 model year. Still, good luck getting one for that price. Although it will be worth the money, considering the Z51-equipped model manages a lightning-fast 2.8-second run to 60 mph. Moreover, a used Z51-equipped C7 generation with a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds will outrun the Mustang GT, too. 

Are there many cars faster than the Ford Mustang GT?
