4 Reasons the Base 2023 Ford Bronco Is All You Need
The 2023 Ford Bronco offers buyers a perfect blend of off-road capability and on-road utility in an attractive package. We recently test drove the Bronco Raptor and were thoroughly impressed with its ability to handle some of the toughest roads we could drive it on. We also liked all of the features it offered but realized quickly that we didn’t need all that fancy stuff when driving around normally. In that case, here are four reasons that the base model Ford Bronco could be all that you need.
1. The 2023 Ford Bronco Base costs less than the other trim levels
First things first, the 2023 Ford Bronco base costs less than the other trim levels, which means that it could provide the most value. More specifically, the base model has a starting MSRP of $31,300, which is over $4,000 less than the next model (Big Bend) and over $30,000 less than the top dog Bronco Raptor. As we can see, optioning out the Ford Bronco can add up to some serious dollars spent, so buying the entry-level could save you a lot of money in the end.
2. The entry-level Ford Bronco has all of the features you need
The entry-level 2023 Ford Bronco has everything that most off-road enthusiasts need in a rig. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes 300 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. That’s a decent amount of power to get you where you need to go, and what’s even better is that it’s available with a seven-speed manual transmission.
It also has steel wheels, a shorter wheelbase, and a 4×4 drivetrain, all of which are great for off-roading. On the inside, you’ll find cloth seats with manual adjustment, a single-zone climate control system, and wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. It’s basic, but that’s really all you need to go about your day.
3. It even has the Turn Assist feature
Although it’s really awesome that the base Ford Bronco comes with a manual transmission, selecting the 10-speed automatic transmission will add the Trail Turn Assist and Trail Control features. Both of these features come in handy when you’re making your way through a tight trail road.
4. The base Ford Bronco has a minimalistic look
Remember those steel wheels we mentioned? To some, they make the car look unfinished. But to us, they make the car look minimalistic. There’s no need for fancy body-color-matched anything on this trim level. The base Bronco has the same understated look as the models that came before it, and we like that.
Also, look around the base model’s cabin, and you’ll notice spots for upgrades, like the grab handle in the center console. Essentially, you can look at the base Bronco as a blank canvas to do whatever modifications you want.
You could really use an entry-level 2023 Ford Bronco in your life
If you’re interested in a 2023 Ford Bronco, we suggest checking out the base model. Sure, it may look bare bones and as cool as the other trim levels, but it gets the job done on and off the road. Besides, do you really need a Bronco Raptor? Not really. Think simple and basic. It’ll make your life easier.
