That being said, the Ford Maverick is good for an astonishing 42 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, making the little truck good for 37 mpg combined.

3. Storage: The Ford may be tiny, but it is somehow not lacking in storage. Before we go too far: yes, the bed is only 4.5 feet long with the tailgate up. While that is pretty short, the trucks makes up for it with cleaver interior storage. This thing is full of cubbies, compartments, and caches. Under the rear seats, you’ll find a couple of decently-sized cargo bins, which come in handy in a vehicle without a trunk. 

4. Size and Driving profile: As a result of its tiny footprint, the little pickup truck feels and drives like a small vehicle. This allows more drivers to feel confident and comfortable driving it daily. Navigating traffic and parking is not an issue with this truck. Even the driving feel is nice and nimble, something we rarely get to say about pickup trucks. 

Three cons to buying a 2022 Ford Maverick 

1. Base means base: Business Insider points out that the low starting price comes with a catch. While the base model is fantastically cheap, it also doesn’t come with much if anything in the way of creature comforts.
