It’s already being hailed as a highly sought-after model for anyone who needs an electric vehicle with all the upscale touchpoints. So, how well does it compare to other luxury SUVs? In comparison, Audi says its luxury EV contender, the e-tron, can achieve 402 horsepower with 490 lb-ft of torque, which is still pretty impressive. Additionally, while its 0 to 60 mph time is an impressive 6.3 seconds, according to Consumer Reports, it’s still not the horsepower the AWD Lyriq offers. Additionally, Inside EVs says the Lyriq will charge at upwards of 190 kW, which is more than the “mostly flat” 150 kW charge of the Audi e-tron. Another reason to buy the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is there’s just more room. Edmunds says the maximum cargo capacity is 60.8 cubic feet. Alternatively, the Edmunds spec sheet for the 2022 Audi e-tron outlines max cargo capacity as 56.4 cubic feet. 

Autoblog points to the Lyriq’s impressive passenger room, too, with 39.6 inches of rear legroom and 58.6 inches of shoulder room, making it a more comfortable fit for three people in the second row. GM Authority lays out the side-by-side specs, and the Lyriq’s slightly larger size translates to .5 inches of more headroom, .6 inches of more legroom, and .3 inches more shoulder room in the front seats, as well.

4. Available credit for home charger installation

Here’s the other perk about taking home the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. The automaker is partnering with Qmerit, a network of nationwide support to help new EV customers find qualified home charging installers. Adding to this support, Cadillac is offering customers the option to either select two years of unlimited charging credit at EVgo charging stations or take the $1,500 credit toward the in-home installation of a Level 2, 240-volt at-home charging station.
