However, the new 2024 model boasts a 13.2-inch touchscreen, over five inches larger than the outgoing 2023 GT Premium. Moreover, the new Mustang has more power, a customizable 12.4-inch instrument cluster, and a drift stick.
When did the Mustang get Sync 4?
The 2024 Ford Mustang GT has a 13.2-inch touchscreen center stack with Ford’s Sync 4 system. It’s a significant improvement over the 2023 model, which stopped at an 8-inch touchscreen system with Sync 3.
However, TrueCar says the screen is so expansive that accessing the right side of the unit could be tricky from the driver seat. Still, the new Sync 4-equipped unit blends into a 12.4-inch customizable instrument cluster. Better yet, if the new Ford Mustang is too modern for fans, the cluster supports a nostalgic Fox Body mode, which imitates the third-gen Mustang’s aesthetics.

Still, the new 2024 Ford Mustang GT bumps power output to 480, making it the most powerful GT in the model’s history. However, the power isn’t produced by a new mill or supercharger; the 5.0L Coyote V8 is back for the S650 GT.

While the 2023 Mustang Mach 1 packs MagneRide active dampers, the GT and GT Premium do not. However, the seventh-generation 2024 Mustang GT has optional MagneRide suspension, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and large Brembo brakes in the Performance Pack.
