Now that the second-generation Acura NSX is discontinued, used examples are selling for astronomical prices. A nationwide search on CarGurus reveals that many NSXs are selling for around $150,000, which is what they sold for when new. We doubt that prices are coming down any time soon, so here are four cheaper used alternatives that are just as quick as the fabled Acura NSX.

1. 2020 Audi S8

The 2020 Audi S8 might seem like a weird alternative considering it’s not exactly an exotic car. But in some ways, it’s better. The Audi S8 is based on the brand’s full-size luxury sedan, the A8, so that it can seat up to five people just fine. It’s also available with a ton of luxurious amenities like a power-adjustable rear seat with heat and massage functions, heated armrests, and a remote control for the infotainment system.

As for performance, the Audi S8 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that makes 568 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s more power than the NSX. However, the S8 is only slightly slower to 60 mph from a standstill. Car and Driver says it can cover that distance in 3.2 seconds, which is still super quick for a large sedan.

2. 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

If you look hard enough, you can find used examples of the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for around $80,000. For that kind of money, you’ll get a 6.2-liter V8 engine that’s mid-mounted for better weight distribution, just like the NSX. That powerplant puts out 495 hp, which goes to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

With that power going through the tires and down to the tarmac, the Corvette can rocket to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, which is technically quicker than the Acura NSX.

3. 2016 Nissan GT-R

The 2016 Nissan GT-R can now be found for well under $100,000, which makes it quite the bargain. The GT-R comes with physics-defying handling, a sophisticated all-wheel drive system, and a powerful twin-turbo V6. That massive engine puts out 545 hp, but if you can find a Nismo model, that number goes up to 600.

As for performance, the 2016 Nissan GT-R is right on par with the NSX, and it’s a little more practical with its rear-seat space. Just don’t expect to fit adults back there.

4. 2019 BMW i8

We admit that the 2019 BMW i8 is not as quick as the Acura NSX, but we think it looks just as cool. Sure, it takes almost five seconds to get up to 60 mph, but that’s quick, considering it makes 369 hp from a turbocharged 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine that’s mated to two electric motors. That’s right, the i8 is a hybrid, and it has cool doors that swing upward and jump seats that can fit a baby in them – with a car seat, of course.

Four Acura NSX alternatives under $100,000

The second-generation Acura NSX may cost well over $100,000, but there are some alternatives if you can’t afford it. They may not be as cool-looking or quick, but we’re sure if you opted for any of these four, you would probably forget about the NSX in due time.
