5 of the Most Affordable Sedans With Remote Start
Parking your car outside in freezing cold weather and having to sit in sub-zero leather seats is one of the most unpleasant experiences. The same goes for when you have to park your car in the heat as getting into your car feels like sitting in a pre-heated oven. Fortunately, there’s a handy feature called “remote start,” which allows you to remotely start your car from the comfort of your home.
By doing so, you’ll be able to let the car’s interior warm-up (or cool down) and then you can drive away in comfort as opposed to shivering or sweating bullets. However, not every car comes with a remote start feature from the factory, but these five sedans do.
2022 Honda Accord – $26,120 starting MSRP
The Honda Accord definitely doesn’t need any type of introduction as it’s one of the most popular sedans in America. But did you know that you can get a remote start in even the base Accord LX trim level? You sure can, and the best part is that it only costs $26,120 (before the destination charge).
2022 Hyundai Sonata – $26,100 starting MSRP
The 2022 Hyundai Sonata actually has a starting price of $24,350 for its base SE trim level, but that model doesn’t come with remote start. To get that feature, you’ll need to step up to the SEL trim level that provides drivers with a proximity key and a remote start button. I have had the chance to drive the Hyundai Sonata and can report that the remote start feature works extremely well. I have even sat inside my living room (not near a window) and have been able to start the car from nearly 100 feet away.
2022 Subaru Legacy – $22,995 starting MSRP
The Subaru Legacy was redesigned for the 2020 model year and with it came some improvements in the form of a new look inside and out. The car’s interior boasts plenty of luxurious features like leather, heated seats, and a large infotainment system, but it also includes a remote start feature.
Autobytel notes that in order to access the remote start feature, the driver will need to opt for the Starlink Safety Plus and Security Plus package and download the app on their phone. Once that’s done, the car can be started remotely, but it can also be locked/unlocked and even remotely located through the app.
2022 Nissan Altima – $24,650 starting MSRP
If you’re looking for a midsize sedan with comfortable seats, a spacious interior, and the option for all-wheel drive, then the 2022 Nissan Altima could fit the bill. In addition to some driver-assist features from its Pro Pilot Assist suite, the Altima also comes standard with a remote engine start feature. However, if you want the remote start feature with the intelligent climate control system, then you’ll need to get the SL trim level or above.
2022 Honda Civic – $22,350 starting MSRP
Yes, there’s another Honda on this list, but at least it’s the most affordable sedan that comes with a remote start feature. In fact, for the starting price of $22,350 (before destination), you can buy a base Civic LX with the handy feature. Now that’s what I call “value.”
Affordable sedans with remote start
Whether you live in a snow state and have to deal with frigid mornings or you live in a hot state with an unending summer, having a car with remote start is a gift from the car gods. There’s nothing getting ready for work and being able to remotely start the car from inside your house and come out to a comfortable car. Fortunately, these five affordable sedans all come with it.
