5 Best American Cars to Consider In 2023
Japanese and European cars have maintained their popularity over the past decade, but plenty of American cars are worth a look. Automakers like Chevrolet, Cadillac, and Tesla have produced some of the finest examples of American metal that you may have overlooked. Check out five of the best American cars that you should consider this year.
1. 2023 Cadillac CT4-V
It’s hard to argue with the satisfying combination of 472 horsepower, a six-speed manual transmission, and four doors. Fortunately, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V has them all. It also has plenty of luxury features. According to Truecar, “Ever a Cadillac, the CT4-V has amenities like power leatherette seats and Apple Carplay.”
Additionally, the CT4-V Blackwing is fast, has a balanced chassis, and has a comfortable and modern interior. However, the rear seat area is tight, and its ride could be a little plusher. That said, considering its performance benefits, the Cadillac CT4-V’s MSRP of $47,990 makes it a steal.
2. 2023 Tesla Model 3
By now, you’re probably familiar with the Tesla Model 3. Known for its stellar acceleration and long driving range, the Model 3 has been a staple in the electric vehicle category for the past few years. It’s undoubtedly quick and futuristic looking. However, Truecar points out that its interior lacks the craftsmanship of other luxury cars, and there’s no Apple Carplay/Android Auto phone integration. Regardless, it’s still a great bargain at an MSRP of $48,190.
3. 2023 Chevy Bolt EV
Speaking of bargains, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV is an exceptional bargain for anyone in the market for an electric vehicle. The Chevrolet Bolt is a small hatchback that comfortably fits up to five people in its roomy cabin. It can also achieve up to 259 miles of range, which is great considering its price range. However, it should be noted that AWD is not available. But for a low price of $27,495, we doubt anyone would mind.
4. 2023 Cadillac CT4
The CT4 is the smallest car in Cadillac’s lineup, but it’s big on features. A CT4 can be outfitted with one of two different turbocharged engines, a leatherette interior, and tech-savvy features like dual-zone auto climate control and smartphone integration. In addition to these features, Truecar notes that the CT4 has a refined ride and brisk acceleration. However, it also has a cramped backseat and an uninspiring interior. Regardless, the Cadillac CT4 is a great deal for a sticker price of $35,790.
5. 2023 Cadillac CT5-V
If the Cadillac CT4-V isn’t large enough for you, the CT5-V could be a better fit. The CT5-V comes with either a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine or a supercharged 668-hp Blackwing engine that can make the sedan sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in only 3.4 seconds. It’s fast and handles well, but there are a few downsides. Truecar notes that the CT5-V has a lower quality trim than European rivals, lacks AWD, and is unavailable with SuperCruise on the models with a manual transmission. That said, the Cadillac CT-5 is still a great bargain, with its starting price of $52,390.
Five of the best American cars for 2023
Although cars from Cadillac, Tesla, and Chevrolet may not be at the top of your shopping list, these five examples are worth a look. They may be a little unorthodox, but they have all of the power, efficiency, and space that you need.
