1. 2022 Mercedes EQS Sedan – 9.4/10

The full-size luxury electric vehicle from Mercedes is U.S. News’ top-ranked luxury vehicle. It is also the highest-scoring self-parking vehicle on their list. Like their S-class vehicles, the Mercedes EQS is littered with cutting-edge technology. It is an opulent vehicle like the S-class but with zero emissions. A base model single-motor EQS 450 produces 329 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. Even in its rear-wheel drive configuration, the Mercedes EQS is still plenty of fun to drive. Regarding parking, you can utilize the brand’sbrand’s Active Park Assist system. Standard on all trims, this allows you to pull the EQS into parallel and perpendicular parking spots on a hands-free basis.

2. 2022 Lucid Air – 9.1/10

Lucid has broken onto the electric car market with one of the best-looking designs out there. They hold to a theme of futuristic looks without sacrificing a classy and luxurious feeling. The Lucid Air comes in five different power configurations, ranging from the base single motor with 480 horsepower to the dual-motor Dream P with an absurd 1,111 horsepower. Housing a lush interior, the inside of the Lucid is a great place to be. A 21-speaker audio setup and glass canopy roof keep you comfortable on your trip to the store. The Park Pilot function is standard on any Lucid, allowing the car to parallel and perpendicularly park without using your hands. Eventually, Lucid will allow for remote-controlled self-parking with your phone.

3. 2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class – 9.0/10

It comes as no surprise that the first non-electric vehicle on this list is a Mercedes. At the forefront of technology in cars since their founding in 1926, Mercedes has cemented itself as one of the most luxurious brands on the market. Their over-the-top luxury sedan line, known as the S-Class, usually houses their latest iterations of comfort and gadgets. Inside the elegant cabin, a large tablet-like display you would find in an EV car allows you to control most of the vehicle’svehicle’s systems. Three engine options range from a twin-charged six-cylinder making 429 horsepower to the monstrous yet smooth 621 horsepower twin-turbo V12 engine. Much like the Mercedes EQS at the top of this list, the S-Class uses the same Active Park Assist system. It scores lower, however, as the EQS is at the forefront of the latest versions.

4. 2022 Jeep Wagoneer – 9.0/10

All new for 2022, the full-size Jeep Wagoneer is a modest and less luxurious version of the Grand Wagoneer model. This model of Wagoneer is U.S. News’ top-ranked model among large SUVs and SUVs with three rows. Powered by a hybrid system, the Wagoneer uses a 5.7-liter V8 and 48-volt electric motor to generate 392 horsepower. Standard rear-wheel drive pushes you along, with an off-road capable four-wheel drive system to handle the rough terrain. An array of features keep you comfortable inside, with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Self-parking is handled by Jeep’s ParkSense Active Parking system. This will easily move the hefty Wagoneer in and out of parallel and perpendicular parking spots. The parking feature is an option as part of the Convenience Package.

5. 2023 Ford F-150 – 9.0/10

When you think of vehicles that need a helping hand parking, big trucks almost always come to mind. The 2023 Ford F-150 is the latest iteration of the top-selling vehicle of any kind in the U.S. For a good reason, it is also one of the best vehicles on the market. Multiple cab configurations, engine options, and packages that cater to almost any need make the F-150 so versatile for consumers. With so much history, you would expect the F-150 to be archaic compared to others on this list, but the truck houses some of the best features on the market. Ford even offers the F-150 Lightning, a fully electric version of the iconic workhorse. Standard on some trims and optional on others is Ford’sFord’s Active Park Assist system.
