While it might feel like New Year’s Day was just yesterday, the truth of the matter is that the first quarter of 2021 is just about over. As such, dealers have rockin’ and rollin’ when it comes to truck sales and Automotive Map recently reported the five best-selling trucks in 2021 thus far. Of course, this list can change over the course of the next month or so when automakers report their numbers, but here is how they look so far.

No. 5 – 2021 Honda Ridgeline

Given the fact that it rides on a unibody construction, many consider the Honda Ridgeline the “anti-truck truck.” But in reality, we think that its comfortable ride, easy driving dynamics, and fuel-efficient V6 do much in the way of providing a capable daily driver.

The Ridgeline was updated for the 2021 model year and now boasts a bolder look with its new front and rear fascias, and it continues to provide buyers with clever storage solutions. A couple of our favorite features include its dual-action tailgate and in-bed storage trunk. So far, Honda has managed to sell 6,489 units in 2021.

No. 4 – 2021 Toyota Tundra

You can’t go wrong with a tried-and-true V8 engine along with Toyota reliability, which is what every trim level of the Tundra provides. For the 2021 model year, there are even two more trim levels to choose from: the Nightshade Edition and the Trail Edition. Both of which could possibly have a hand in the automaker selling 12,143 units thus far in 2021.

No. 3 – 2021 Ford Ranger

The Ford Ranger provides compact truck buyers with a connected driving experience in addition to a large amount of towing and hauling power. The Ranger has been largely carried over for the 2021 model year, however, there is the all-new Tremor package that can kick its off-road chops up a notch, if needed. So far, Ford has sold 13,057 Rangers in 2021.

No. 2 – 2021 Toyota Tacoma

The Toyota Tacoma has been a staple in the truck category for many years and it continues to soldier on as 39,456 units have left dealer lots this year so far. Toyota also released special Nightshade and Trail Editions of the Tacoma for the new model year, which means there is a staggering amount of configurations to choose from. We personally recommend the Tacoma TRD Pro with a six-speed manual transmission if you want something a little more unique.

No. 1 – 2021 Ford F-150

Are you surprised that the 2021 Ford F-150 is sitting at the top of this list? We’re not. And it’s definitely not surprising that the automaker has already managed to sell 119,745 F-Series units so far in 2021.

Speaking of the 2021 model year, the Ford F-150 was just completely redesigned. It now has a lot of new features including a dual-panel moonroof, a 360-degree camera system, and a Pro Power Onboard in-bed power system so you can plug in power tools and any other electronics to get the job done.
