The 2022 Nissan Rogue has a lot to offer for a compact SUV. We have the top-trim Platinum model for a week, and so far, it’s pretty impressive. The interior is well-crafted and comfortable, the in-cabin tech is plentiful, and the Rogue looks pretty good overall. However, while there is plenty to like about the Rogue, we found five of our favorite features that we will highlight below.

1. The Bose premium audio system is magnificent

Being audiophiles, we have a soft spot for good audio systems. Fortunately, the 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum comes with a Bose premium audio system. The system sounds crisp and clear at all driving speeds, and we came away impressed by its overall quality. Previously, you could only find this type of sound system in a premium luxury car.

2. The turbocharged 1.5-liter VC engine is smooth and has plenty of power

The Nissan Rogue was redesigned for the 2021 model year. However, the Japanese automaker revised it a little for 2022. One revision is the new turbocharged 1.5-liter VC engine that replaced the previous 2.5-liter engine. It puts out 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque, which is an increase of 11% and 24%, respectively, over the 2021 model. Those new numbers also make the Rogue the most powerful in its class.

3. The ProPilot assist works well

Nearly every car on the market comes with a menu of driver-assist features. They include features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a forward collision warning, and a lane-departure alert. All of these systems essentially control the car’s steering, brakes, and accelerator to keep the car going straight and within the lane with assistance from the driver.

Nissan’s version of these systems is called ProPilot assist, and we have to admit, it works really well. We tried using it in stop-and-go traffic and highway cruising, and the system slowed, stopped, and accelerated the car gradually and easily. It was a breath of fresh air, considering some systems can be hesitant or jerky.

4. The Divide-N-Hide cargo system is handy

Nissan got a little crafty with the Rogue’s storage capability. Instead of a normal cargo area, the Platinum models come with a Divide-N-Hide feature that allows for up to six different cargo-carrying configurations. You can even create secret and hidden storage spaces.

5. The seat memory system makes fitting in the Nissan Rouge easy

We’ll admit, this feature is nothing new. But the Nissan Rogue Platinum has memory seating that can adjust the seats and side mirrors for two different drivers. We know, it’s a simple feature that’s been around forever, but we like that the Rogue remembers us. It’s endearing.
