Fortunate, the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro comes with a skid plate that sits underneath the engine to keep things nice and protected. It also provides some added off-road bling so that other people know that you’re serious about traversing the lands unknown.

TRD Fox Performance shocks and springs

You can’t make a Toyota 4Runner TRD without the proper suspension, and you definitely need the proper suspension if you’re planning to drive off the beaten path. With the TRD Pro, Toyota included a set of re-tuned 2.5-inch Fox internal bypass shocks that are paired to a set of Fox springs up front, while the rear shocks feature remote reservoirs to provide the best damping no matter what kind of ground you drive on.  

TRD roof rack

If you’re going to look like an off-road warrior, then Toyota knows that you’ll need a roof rack. It’s handy because you can store all of your gear and sleeping equipment on it, but it also necessary when you don’t have stuff stored on it because it makes this SUV look that much meaner.

Matte Black wheels and Nitto Terra tires

Nothing completes the menacing look of this rig more than a set of black wheels and we think that Toyota hit the nail on the head with the inclusion of these 17-inch matte-black TRD wheels. Not only do they look the part, but they act like it too as they’re wrapped in a set of all-terrain Nitto Terra tires.

Lunar Rock paint

New for the 2021 model year, the Lunar Rock paint job replaces the former Army Green hue that was only available on the 4Runner TRD Pro. We like it a lot and think that it fits the SUV perfectly in contrast with the black wheels and other TRD accents.

While the paint job might not be functional like the other features listed here, it definitely provides the ultimate finishing touch in bringing out that off-road warrior that lies within you. Even if it does only come out on the weekends.
