Here’s our attempt to narrow your shopping list down for you, or at least provide you with some information on five different hybrid cars that offer the most value.

2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid

MSRP: $23,100 I Fuel Economy: 53 city/52 highway

A newcomer to the hybrid category, the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid low starting price compared to almost all other hybrids and it’s “five-year cost of ownership undercuts all other hybrid cars,” according to U.S. News. In terms of value, the Corolla Hybrid offers not only amazing fuel economy figures but also has tasteful aesthetics thanks to its Corolla body design (sorry Prius), Toyota’s Safety Sense, a standard 8-inch touchscreen, Apple Carplay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

2020 Toyota Prius

MSRP: $24,325 I Fuel Economy: 58 city/53 highway

Are you shocked that the Prius made this list? We hope not. But the only shocking thing about a Prius would be how much money you will save at the pump and at the dealership with the affordable initial price point. On top of stellar fuel economy figures, the Prius is available with Toyota Safety Sense suite of driver aids and comes with plenty of room and a very comfortable ride. Just be sure to get a personalized plate that reads “Value.”

2020 Honda Accord Hybrid

MSRP: $25,470 I Fuel Economy: 48 city/47 highway

It shouldn’t be too much of a wonder that we added the Honda Accord Hybrid to this list. Its value comes from the fact that it only holds a price premium of $1600 over its gas-only counterpart, which can be easily made up with the fuel savings cost over just one year! Couple that with a luxurious and sophisticated interior along with a comfortable ride, and this hybrid screams value every time you drive it.

2019 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid

MSRP: $22,400 I Fuel Economy: 57 city/59 highway

The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid is one of the lowest-priced hybrids currently on the market. While it does achieve very impressive fuel economy numbers, a lot of its value also comes from the brand’s 10-year/100,000-mile warranty. We like that the Ioniq is available with a long list of driver and safety aids, and also provides spacious seating for five.

2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid

MSRP: $28,000 I Fuel Economy: 43 city/41 highway

While the Ford Fusion Hybrid is on the more expensive end on this list, it does provide a great value with its upscale charm and interior layout, along with plenty of room for five. We like that the Ford Fusion offers an extensive list of safety features with its Ford Co-Pilot 360, an 8-inch touchscreen display, and a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter, four-cylinder hybrid powertrain.

It’s hard to pick just one

As you can see with this shortlist of hybrid cars, there’s a lot to consider. One thing is for sure: no matter which one you go with, you know you’re getting a great value.
