Not everyone agrees about how the 2022 Genesis G80 looks. Some drivers love it, and others hate it. The grille is massive, which is great for pulling in air, but is it too big? Is it overstated? Do the thing LED headlights complement it well?

We’ve heard that the G80 has a unique look that makes it stand out. Others say it looks too similar to Lexus SUVs. Also, the wheels are interesting. While they have a unique design, some people say they look like a shotgun shell has peppered them.

But looks are subjective. At the end of the day, it only matters if you think it has an attractive design.

2. The 2022 G80 has an odd layout

The 2022 Genesis G80 is wide and long. However, the roofline feels low. Taller people have plenty of leg space, but not much headroom. Shorter folks have to move the seat up against the steering wheel to reach the multimedia controls.

However, the second row has plenty of legroom for average-sized adults. A large bump in the center of the floor makes the middle seat a little challenging to fit in. Also, you can only access a USB port in the rear if you fold the middle seat down.

This could make the USB ports in the rear hard to find. You won’t be able to access it with five people in the vehicle.

3. The Genesis G80 is fun

If you have a boring daily commute or hate errands, then the 2022 Genesis G80 could turn things around. There are driving modes for Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Snow, and Custom. The Comfort Mode provides a smoother ride with a more leisurely acceleration.

The Sport Mode stiffens the suspension and increases the throttle response for a more engaging ride. But Sport+ makes things even faster and turns off traction control, allowing you to whip around curves more athletically.

The 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine churns out 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. According to Edmunds, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.1 seconds.

It has plenty of pep in its step, and the adaptive suspension adjusts to each driving mode accordingly for a confident ride. There’s hardly anybody roll around tight curves. The automatic start and stop system is quick, smooth, and unobtrusive.

4. The 2022 G80 is immersive

The 2022 Genesis G80 provides an escape from crowded areas and noisy cities. You can turn up the fun with the sporty modes, or relax and peacefully unwind in the Comfort Mode. The leather seats are supportive and inviting.

After driving for a certain time limit, the ergonomic posture assist acts as a messenger to rejuvenate your mood and energy. Also, the tinted panromantic sunroof and window shades provide natural light with plenty of privacy.

You can use Quiet Mode to keep the radio, alerts, and noise at bay. Plus, you can relax with the sounds of nature. The seats adjust accordingly to each driving mode. The side bolstering increases in the sport modes to hold you in place, while the Comfort Mode gives you more space.

The Lexicon audio system provides premium sound quality, and the tech is easy to customize. You can create the perfect environment for various driving moods.

5. The tech is advanced

The 2022 Genesis G80 feels pretty advanced with an attractive 14.5-inch infotainment display. It functions as a touchscreen but can also be controlled by a touchpad on the center console or buttons on the steering wheel.

It’s a fast system that’s easy to learn. The 3D digital gauge cluster provides crucial driving information. One of our complaints involves how low the head-up display sits.

The ventilated seats, heated seats, and heated steering wheel are strong and effective. Plus, the optional wireless phone charging pad, hands-free trunk, surround-view camera, and power rear sunshade add even more convenience.

There are plenty more pros and cons to cover about the 2022 Genesis G80. Stay tuned for our full review to learn more.
