We get the chance to spend a week with the Infiniti QX60, and it’s not your average three-row SUV. It’s a lot better than you think. Seriously, while it has a few flaws, we’re incredibly impressed so far. Check out what life with the 2022 Infiniti QX60 is like. 

Is the 2022 Infiniti QX60 worth buying? 

Yes, the 2022 Infiniti QX60 is an exceptional three-row SUV to consider. However, the third row is a bit tight and only for kids. Other than that, it’s spacious, athletic, comfortable, and well-crafted. 

We have the QX60 Luxe, which is one model above the entry-level trim. It adds 20-inch wheels, ventilated seats, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, built-in navigation, parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. We didn’t need the top-spec Autograph trim to enjoy this SUV. 

1. The Infiniti QX60 is smooth 

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 doesn’t ride like a typical SUV. It has an incredibly smooth suspension that absorbs impacts incredibly well. Even on rough patches of pavement and over gravel roads, the QX60 feels smooth and composed. 

At times, the steering can feel light, but the QX60 feels confident and well-planted around sharp curves. It has a 19.05-foot turning radius, making it super easy to maneuver. It’s convenient for making U-turns and for navigating through tight city areas. 

2. It’s comfortable 

The QX60 has massive, comfortable seats with plenty of padding. The seats are comfortable for long drives on the highway and through the countryside. We’re fond of the power-adjustable lumbar support, so people of all shapes and sizes can find the perfect driving or riding position. 

Plus, they work ergonomically to keep you feeling alert and energized. The second and third rows are well-padded too. We only wish that the ventilated seats were a bit stronger. So far, the Mazda CX-9 has the strongest cooling chairs. 

3. The Infiniti QX60 safety tech is unique 

The lane-keeping assist system in the 2022 Infiniti QX60 feels helpful without being too intrusive or annoying. If you get too close to the line, the side of the steering wheel gently vibrates. It also vibrates on the side of the wheel that corresponds with the line you’re too close to. 

However, the front parking sensor is a bit sensitive. It will beep once you start the vehicle due to another car being parked in front of it. It also will beep at items in front of the camera while in reverse. 

4. The QX60 has a refined interior 

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 has a well-crafted, high-quality interior that delivers a premium feel. It seems refined yet durable and easy to clean. While the layout is simple, it’s well-planned and attractive. 

Soft-touch materials cover most surfaces with attractive accent stitching. The leather upholstery is soft and supportive. The massive panoramic sunroof lets plenty of natural light filter into the cabin. 

Those in the second row can access sunshades if it’s too bright. There are USB ports in each row to keep devices charged. Also, the second-row seats automatically slide forward with the touch of a button. 

5. The infotainment system is just right 

While some people may want the 2022 Infiniti QX60 to have more physical buttons, the touch screen menus work fine. The 12.3-inch touchscreen has attractive graphics and works very quickly. Plus, it’s easy to connect to wireless Apple CarPlay. 

The 17-speaker Bose audio system delivers premium sound, and the voice recognition system even accurately picks up my southern accent. The menus are simple, making it easy to find the settings you need in seconds. 

Overall, the Infiniti QX60 feels refined, smart, and relaxing. It’s an engaging daily driver with enough space for family adventures. But it’s not perfect. Stay tuned for our list of pros and cons.
