Imagine this: You’re a state trooper cruising down I-15 in Utah when you spot a Dodge Journey swerving across the road like it’s in a scene from The Fast and the Furious. You think to yourself, Great, another drunk driver. You flip on your lights, pull the car over, and prepare to give the driver a good talking-to. But as the window rolls down, your jaw drops. There, perched on the edge of the seat, is a five-year-old. His feet can barely reach the pedals. He’s nervously gripping the wheel like it’s a steering wheel arcade game at Chuck E. Cheese. And his top speed? A daring 35 mph. What do you even say to that?

Turns out, this pint-sized driver, Adrian Zamarripa, was on a mission. He’d begged his mom for a Lamborghini, but when she refused, the five-year-old took matters—and his family’s Dodge Journey—into his own hands. His plan? Drive from Utah to California to buy a Lamborghini with the $3 in his wallet. No, really, that’s what he told Trooper Rick Morgan, who was the one lucky enough to pull him over. “California,” the boy replied, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The whole thing started back at home after Adrian’s mom told him, in no uncertain terms, that he couldn’t have a Lambo. Like any determined five-year-old, Adrian wasn’t about to let that stop him. So he waited until his sister, Sidney, fell asleep, grabbed the keys, and made his daring escape. “I saw that the truck was gone, and he was gone, and the keys were gone… I don’t know what went through his mind,” she told KUTV.

Adrian made it nearly three miles down the highway before Trooper Morgan spotted him. Despite the SUV swerving all over the place, the little guy managed to pull over safely when the trooper turned on his lights and sirens. Morgan approached the vehicle, bracing himself for a drunk or impaired driver. Instead, he found Adrian sitting on the edge of the seat, barely able to reach the pedals. “He was sitting on the front edge of his seat so he could reach the brake pedal,” Morgan told FOX 10 Phoenix.

Adrian’s adventure was cut short, but thankfully, nobody was hurt. The officer admitted, “When I got to the window and the window came down, I wasn’t quite sure what to think.” Luckily for everyone involved, Morgan first made sure the situation was safe. Then he dealt with the kid with compassion.

The trooper helped the boy put the car in park and called his family to come pick him up. “He was upset. He was on the verge of tears,” Morgan said. “I don’t think we will see him in this situation again soon,” the trooper added with a chuckle. The boy’s Lamborghini dreams were dashed—for the moment—but the story didn’t end there. And the police officer wasn’t the final person who’d be kind to him.

The story spread like wildfire, catching the attention of not just local news outlets but celebrities too. One of them was Jeremy Neves, a local businessman who owns a Lamborghini Huracán. Neves decided to give Adrian a taste of what it’s like to ride in a real supercar, offering to take the little guy for a spin. “He had the courage to just go after what he wanted, you know?” Neves told KSL. “He didn’t have the skillset, let alone the size to drive a vehicle, and he figured it out.”

The Lamborghini owner understood the kid broke the law, but wanted to encourage dreaming big as well. “Maybe he’s getting punished, maybe he’s grounded, maybe he’s got some chores to do. I can relate to that…At the same time, I thought it would be really cool to say, ‘Your dreams aren’t as far away as you think they are.'”

But the surprises didn’t stop with the Lamborghini ride. Adrian’s wild joyride attracted the attention of some pretty big stars—Jamie Foxx and Shaquille O’Neal, to name a couple. According to TMZ, celebrity car broker RD Whittington flew Adrian and his family out to Malibu, where the boy got a VIP tour of a luxury car dealership. Adrian got to rev the engines of a Ferrari, a Hummer, and other high-end cars. His face lit up as he high-fived Whittington after revving the Ferrari’s engine.

Then, as if things couldn’t get more surreal, Adrian got a FaceTime call from musician Lil Pump. “You gonna buy Pump a lamb?” Whittington asked Adrian during the call. Adrian, always determined, replied, “Yeah! I’m gonna work here,” before proudly telling the rapper his age. Even Lil Pump had to laugh, saying, “Five? That’s crazy.”

Later, Adrian met Jamie Foxx in person, who complimented his Shaq sneakers and said, “Let me see if I can get Shaq.” Sure enough, Shaq hopped on FaceTime too. Adrian was so excited, he was tongue-tied. “He’s a little shy right now,” Foxx told O’Neal.

In the end, what started as a terrifying joyride turned into a heartwarming tale of community support. The trooper kept his cool, the family handled the aftermath, and Adrian Zamarripa’s Lamborghini dreams, while still far off, didn’t go unnoticed. Jeremy Neves took him for a spin in a real Lambo, and even Jamie Foxx and Shaquille O’Neal stepped in to give the kid a much-needed pep talk. It’s safe to say Adrian learned his lesson—and got a taste of what it’s like to chase your dreams, responsibly this time.
