7 of the Best Used Lexus Models
Lexus offers a sophisticated lineup of luxury cars and SUVs that have been known for their refinement and reliability. Anyone in the market for a plush ride and the softness you would expect from an uplevel car should look no further than a Lexus. That also applies to older used models, which can present a great value proposition. Check out these seven used Lexus models.
1. 2019 Lexus UX
The UX may not look like a crossover, because it’s sized more like a hatchback, but Lexus thinks that it is. The Lexus UX is the smallest SUV in the brand’s lineup but is big on features. It comes standard with a fuel-efficient engine, loads of safety features, and tech-savvy gadgets like a large infotainment screen and heated seats. Also, as U.S. News points out, the UX was introduced in 2019, so many of them should be coming off lease, which could lead to a lot of savings and not many miles on the odometer.
2. 2018 Lexus RX 350
The Lexus RX 350 has been one of the best-selling luxury SUVs on the market for many years, and it’s no wonder why. The RX seamlessly combines a comfortable interior with a plush ride and a surprising amount of capability. Some of the 2018 model’s most notable features include dual-zone climate control, leather seats, an 8-inch infotainment system, and a 295-hp V6 engine.
3. 2018 Lexus LC
What can we say about the Lexus LC that we haven’t said before? The LC is stunningly beautiful inside and out. It’s fast, and it even looks fast when it’s parked. When it’s time to go, the Lexus LC can whisk you and a passenger away with its sonorous V8 engine while you relax in its sporty seats. There’s no denying that the Lexus LC is a true work of art and worth every penny that you spend on it – if you can afford it.
4. 2018 Lexus IS
The Lexus IS is the brand’s small sport sedan. It may not be as athletic as rivals like the BMW 3 Series, but the IS can impress drivers in its own way. A 241-hp engine under the hood matches well with its sport-tuned suspension. But if more power is needed, a 260-hp V6 engine and a range-topping 311-hp V6 engine are available. That power is routed to the rear wheels, but an all-wheel drive setup is also available.
5. 2018 Lexus GS
Although Lexus vehicles mainly skew toward comfort and opulence, some of them skew toward sportiness. In some ways, the Lexus GS is like the midsize version of the IS with its sporty suspension and eager engine choices. Under its hood, there’s a choice between a 241-hp, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 311-hp V6, and a range-topping 5.0-liter V8 that puts out 467 hp. That last engine can be found in the high-performance GSF model, which has a higher price but is worth the extra cash.
6. 2018 Lexus ES Hybrid
We’ll admit that the 2018 Lexus ES Hybrid is our four-wheeled guilty pleasure. Why? Because it’s fuel-efficient, spacious, and comfortable, which to some enthusiasts isn’t that cool. But to us, it is. The Lexus ES Hybrid can achieve around 40 mpg in mixed driving while swaddling its occupants in leather and other fine amenities.
7. 2018 Lexus NX
The Lexus NX is a small crossover that comes with either a hybrid or a gas-only powertrain. Opting for the latter yields a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that puts out 235 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. In addition to that powertrain, the NX comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ suite of driver-assist features as well as a large infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
