7 of the Coolest 2025 Genesis GV80 Features You Can’t Ignore
One luxury SUV is pulling past the competition with various features that are advanced, convenient, and straight-up cool. The 2025 Genesis GV80 proves that luxury SUVs can be taken to the next level. Seriously, Genesis thinks of everything and actually listens to what drivers want.
Seven totally rad 2025 Genesis GV80 features
First of all, the 2025 Genesis GV80 can be a lot to take in. It’s very smart but could be a little more intuitive. You will spend time wondering what certain buttons do and connecting your phone requires a wired connection.
However, once you become familiar with all of the controls and everything the GV80 can do, you might not ever switch automotive brands again.
1. GV80 keyfobs
The 2025 GV80 keyfobs are unique with diamond-shaped points and chrome for a luxurious feeling. You get one white fob and one black fob instead of two identical units.
Plus, remote parking is included. You can use the key fob to pull in or out of tight parking spaces or to pull up to your location. It seems like it would be most beneficial in tight city areas.
2. The electronically controlled suspension
The Genesis GV80 provides an incredibly smooth ride and dampens impacts before you roll over them. That’s because it has an Electronically Controlled Suspension with Road Preview.
As you drive, the GV80 scans the road ahead with the forward-facing camera to adjust the suspension to reduce the impact of large potholes and speed bumps.
It’s one step ahead of you at all times. I was very impressed by its accuracy on beat-up back country roads.
3. The GV80 mood curator
If you don’t want to set your music, ambient lighting, or seating position, you don’t have to. The Mood Curator has preset settings. It even changes the screen saver on the infotainment system and scent.
That’s right, the 2025 Genesis GV80 can provide different smells based on the scent cartridges you place in the glove box.
You can choose between Vitality, Care, Delight, and Comfort. The Vitality mode is energetic with upbeat music while the Care mode is soothing as activates the massagers in the driver’s seat to relieve stress.
But you can also adjust your settings on the fly with tons of custom options for the audio and ambient lighting.
4. The 27” OLED Display
The Genesis GV80 has a massive 27” OLED display infotainment system that’s breathtaking. The vibrant colors and sharp graphics are very attractive. Plus, it has built-in navigation, displays the weather, and simplifies media use.
I found that the steering wheel may block your view of the screen in certain positions. But it’s power adjustable, so you can put it in the perfect position.
The digital guage cluster is customizable, plus, you can set five shortcuts on the dash for fast access to your favorite apps or settings.
It receives over-the-air updates, so you can get safety, performance, and feature updates without having to visit the service center.
5. The digital key
With the 2025 Genesis digital key, you can use your smartphone and smartwatch as keys to access the vehicle. You can share access with family members and friends as well.
The GV80 app provides automatic collision notifications, enhanced roadside assistance, and stolen vehicle recovery as well.
I didn’t set up the fingerprint scanner during my week with the GV80, but I wanted to! I was worried that I might mess up access for the next automotive journalist.
6. 5 drive modes
The Genesis GV80 has five different drive modes that provide a noticeable difference as you switch between them. The modes include Normal, Sport, Comfort, Eco, and Snow.
Sometimes as I switch between Sport and Normal modes in other cars, I don’t notice much of a difference and get bummed out.
But each driving mode for the GV80 is carefully curated with suspension, seating, ambient light settings, and throttle responses to provide different vibes.
The sport mode unleashes an optimal performance and even adjusts your seat bolstering to hold you in place. Eco mode is more relaxed for the best fuel economy possible.
Also, the snow mode is paired with an electronic limited-slip differential to equally distribute torque, enhance control, and provide more traction in slippery conditions. In my wildest dreams, an off-roading variant is in the works.
7. The intelligent design
People often complain that every new car looks the same these days, but the Genesis GV80 stands out with a unique design. I admit that using the keyfob in total darkness to see the dual LED headlights and tail lights light up is awesome.
The G-Matrix crest grille provides a blend of aggressive confidence and elegance to rule the road and somewhat matches the diamond design of the Nappa leather upholstery. Passengers in the second row receive the same level of comfort, plus the rear seats recline!
Also, the rear seats fold flat to provide extra storage room as needed and a cargo net holds items in place.
Real wood draws attention to the dash and pairs with metal brushed accents and dual-colored upholstery. The GV80 is clearly the leader in eye-catching interiors with a convenient layout.
