The last thing you need to do is have your fingers or your kid’s fingers smashed in a car window. This nightmare could become a reality for about 70,000 Ford Ranger and Lincoln Nautilus owners. Check out the latest recall.

Recall alert: Ford Ranger and Lincoln Nautilus models have

Roughly 70,483 Ford Ranger and Lincoln Nautilus models are being recalled because they have windows that might crush your fingers with force. The models included are from 2024.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ford shared that while closing the windows with the global closing feature, the windows might not automatically reverse after detecting an object, like fingers.

As a result, the closing window could use excessive force by pinching a driver or passenger before retracting, increasing the risk of accidents.

On a positive note, no fingers have been cut off or broken. Ford is currently unaware of any related accidents or injuries.

But this causes the 2024 Ford Ranger and 2024 Lincoln Nautilus to fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 118, which covers power-operated window systems.
