Everyone wants a car that looks good and makes them feel successful without breaking the bank. Getting those cars is a real possibility, though, due to depreciation. Vehicles that were well over $100,000 new are accessible for less money after not a lot of time. With that in mind, Ideal Cars picked eight cheap cars that will make you look wealthy and put a smile on your face.

What are some cheap cars that make you look rich?

Cars can serve as status symbols, especially those from the most beloved of manufacturers. The vehicles that look fast, make a delightful noise, or are associated with wealth are fun prospects. As long as you can keep them maintained, here are some pre-owned, cheap cars that will make you look wealthy:

  1. Aston Martin Vantage
  2. Bentley Continental GT
  3. Range Rover Evoque
  4. Audi R8 (first-generation)
  5. Tesla Model S
  6. Fisker Karma
  7. Maserati GranTurismo
  8. Vaydor G35

That’s right, the folks at Ideal Cars think that James Bond’s favorite car mark has something wallet-friendly. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage could be a sweet bargain, given the timeless and rowdy formula of a 4.3L V8 up front and RWD. That means that the Vantage could be as much of a comfortable grand tourer as it could be a drifter.

The Bentley Continental GT could be your ticket to looking like royalty

As seen on countless hip-hop and R&B music videos, the Bentley Continental GT has a presence. Not just presence, the Continental GT also has a 6.0L W12 engine producing over 600 horsepower. Brad Danger of Ideal Cars says the model years to look for are 2003-2011, with prices well under half of MSRP. So depreciation may make the big British bruiser an accessible luxury car.

Want an SUV? The Range Rover Evoque has you covered

Land Rover is synonymous with wealth. Thanks to falling values, a 2011-2018 Range Rover Evoque is quite a bit cheaper than it used to be. If you can afford to keep the Evoque running, you can net yourself a practical and expensive-looking SUV with pedigree.

The Audi R8 will have you feeling like a superhero on a budget

Who doesn’t want a low-slung, mid-engine supercar for pennies on the dollar? A pre-owned first-generation Audi R8 sells for much less money than it did on the showroom floor. Ideal Cars found a high-mileage 2012 example selling for $40,000. So for less than many lackluster new cars, you can buy an Audi R8 with a screaming V8.

A pre-owned Tesla Model S could be your EV dream

A used Tesla Model S sells for much less than a new one and could be a viable luxury EV. The Model S is also a performance bargain, considering the instant torque of the electric drives. Brad Danger also claims that higher mileage examples don’t carry some of the same concerns as ICE cars.

A Fisker Karma is a rare, albeit odd wealth flex

The Fisker Karma is a bizarre option for the consumer looking to appear wealthy. The Karma is a low-slung hybrid featuring an integrated solar panel and big, flashy wheels. The result is a sporty-looking four-door car that looks like it is speeding while sitting stationary. However, Ideal Cars says it is all aesthetic, considering the Karma doesn’t handle very well. That, and the Fisker Karma requires eight seconds to get to 60 mph. The Karma is a rare car, though, so you’ll look rich driving it.

The Maserati GranTurismo is an affordable child of Modena

Maserati has had issues with reliability. The GranTurismo, however, has reportedly higher reliability figures. If you can find the good ones, you’ll end up with a silky-sounding grand tourer from the home of Ferrari.

Honorable mention: The Vaydor G35

The Vaydor G35 isn’t a supercar at all. The Vaydor is a fiberglass body kit for an existing Infiniti G35. Brad Danger seems to have a soft spot for the Vaydor, considering it gives the G35 the appearance of pedigree.
