The 2022 BMW X1 is the best luxury subcompact SUV according to U.S. News

When U.S. News ranked the newest subcompact SUVs, the 2022 BMW X1 was the number one pick. Experts say this luxury SUV has “across-the-board appeal, from well-rounded performance to a roomy, classy interior.” The X1 comes equipped with a powerful engine and lively handling. Plus, plenty of room in the cargo area. J.D. Power also gave it a 75 out of 100 for a score.

The 2022 Volvo XC40 sets the luxury subcompact SUV bar high

The 2022 Volvo XC40 is a safe bet. Both as a luxury subcompact SUV and just in general. It received a 9.6 out of 10 for safety from U.S. News and a 76 out of 100 overall from J.D. Power. The XC40 has plenty of engine power and an upscale interior. It also has room for five to sit comfortably.

Don’t overlook the 2022 Audi Q3 SUV

There is no denying that the 2022 Audi Q3 has good looks. U.S. News says it also offers a “rich list of features and a blissful ride.” Not a bad review. The Q3 received a 9.3 out of 10 from J.D. Power for safety and an 8.1 overall. This luxury subcompact SUV also comes equipped with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive, an added benefit.

When it comes to it, the 2022 BMW X2 still has a lot to offer

U.S. News ranked the 2022 BMW X2 fourth overall in the list of luxury subcompact SUVs. It earned the description of fun to drive thanks to the Energetic engines” and handling, but the BMW X2 interior lacked in some areas. The cabin was well built, but the X2 comes in more expensive than some of the better competitors.

The 2022 Cadillac XT4 is on the high end for the pricing

The 2022 Cadillac XT4 is at the back of the pack for luxury subcompact SUVs. U.S. News says the XT4 “struggles to match the power, refinement, and luxury of its rivals.” It still has a spacious cabin, safety features, and plenty of cargo room to appease people. With a similar price, the other options have more luxury for buyers.
