A 2020 Harley-Davidson F-150 Is Coming: Why?
In a move that surprised more than a few at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show a limited-edition 2020 F-150 Harley-Davidson model was revealed. A limited-edition anything is an expectation for popular models from different manufacturers. It’s just another way to add sizzle to both hot and slow sellers. So a limited-edition Harley-Davidson F-150 is coming? Why?
It’s not an official Ford Motor Company effort. Ford stopped making Harley F-150s after 2013. No, this one is from independent converters Tuscany Motor Company. They’re the ones who pulled a rabbit out of a hat with the special Harley models for both Ford and also GMC last year. Well. they’re back with a 2020 version.
These limited-edition Harley-Davidson F-150 sold well but now it’s in trouble
Why it’s surprising is that from all indications it is looking like Harley is a sinking ship. We hate to be the bearer of bad news but Harley’s not doing well. It is in financial trouble because its classic cruisers just aren’t selling anymore. It has had all kinds of problems with its Livewire electric bike, even halting production for a time in October.
Harley’s stock has tumbled by 50% from a high five years ago. It’s not healthy and you would think that would wash over anything related to it. But Tuscany must have had success last year so it’s dragged out a 2020 version. This one has more to promote than being just a “sticker truck.”
Rather than the turbocharged V6, this F-150 is packing a 5.0-liter Coyote V8. Attached to the Coyote engine are a supercharger, high-flow filter, aluminum intercooler, upgraded fuel injectors, and high-flow exhaust.

All of these goodies wring out 700 hp from the Coyote engine. To handle that much power Tuscany added a BDS tuned suspension, Fox shocks, and 22-inch Harley-Davidson Fatboy-like wheels. So, this really is more than a sticker truck.
Outside there’s more to see. The new grille stands out, but there’s also an LED light-bar, custom rear bumper covers, and the requisite Harley-Davidson badges. There are more features on the inside, too.
Black trim, billet aluminum pedals, custom gauges, orange stitching to augment the custom black leather, and custom Harley embroidery on the seats. Just enough of everything to remind you this is not a factory exercise but a limited edition truck.
The Harley-Davidson F-150 does come with a three-year warranty
In case you were wondering the truck’s warranties are not voided because they’re modified. All of the Harley trucks come with a three year/36,000-mile warranty. Tuscany says a limited number will be produced but declined to define that number. It will probably be limited to the amount that wants and pays for one, right?
Now for the bad news. The starting price for the Tuscany F-150 conversions is $107.430. That’s a bit more than their 2019 offering which was a tad under $100,000. Not to be complainers but that price is close to $80,000 more than a base 2020 F-150. Sure, most won’t settle for the base model. Still, it’s over $50,000 more than a Raptor and is $50,000 more than the top-of-the-line Limited.
Exclusivity comes with a price. It’s just a matter of whether the product really matches the price one pays. That’s something only those that can consider a $100,000-plus pickup truck can answer.
