The Audi brand reeks of luxury and sophistication, and this often comes at a high price. New Audi models may be well worth the money, but not everyone wants to pay new-Audi prices. As one of the best luxury brands around, however, you don’t need to buy a new Audi to get a good Audi. And many of the brand’s used models will prove that not all of these vehicles will cost you a fortune.

The experts at U.S. News compiled a list of “The Best Used Audi Cars and SUVs for 2020,” for luxury shoppers seeking a bargain. This list contains used models from various model years, with the best rankings and prices, to help shoppers find the best models without the new-car prices. Here are just a few of the cheapest (and best) used Audi models to buy today.

The 2015 Audi Q3

With only a few years since its debut, the 2015 Audi Q3 may be as close to new as you can possibly get without having to pay a new-car price tag. The average buyer can find a used 2015 Q3 subcompact SUV for around $21,000-$24,000 – the same price you may pay for a brand-new SUV that isn’t a luxury Audi.

Its superior 8.5/10 overall score from U.S. News put it at the No. 1 spot among all luxury subcompact SUVs of the same model year. U.S. News experts claim that you simply “can’t beat the Q3’s combination of reliability and safety ratings in the class, and its average list price and ownership costs are attractive as well.”

For a fraction of the cost of a new Audi, the 2015 Q3 features a “high-end cabin” and an impressive list of standard features, like a 200-hp turbocharged engine, heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

The 2013 A4

The 2013 Audi A4 was one of the best small luxury cars of its model year, and as a used car, it’s still one of the best. The A4 sedan earned an impressive enough overall score from U.S. News experts to rank No. 1 among all small luxury cars of the same model year, as well as No. 2 among used small luxury cars.

According to U.S. News, the 2013 Audi A4’s safety, reliability, and review from the critics help it earn a great overall score of 8.8/10. Calling it “among the most well-rounded luxury small cars available,” the 2013 A4 “is a great used car.”

Average prices paid for the 2013 Audi A4 range slightly wider than other available used models on the list, with some buyers paying as little as $13,000, while others may pay more near $24,000. But with models ranging from the base Premium trim to the performance-oriented S4 model, it’s easy to see why used shoppers are willing to pay a little more for some 2013 A4 models.

Standard features on the 2013 A4 include all the modern amenities you may need, like a 6.5-inch infotainment system, sunroof, leather seating, and active safety technologies like a rearview camera and blind-spot monitoring. While more potent engines are available, the A4’s base four-cylinder “generates 211 horsepower and hasty acceleration for effortless highway driving.”

The 2010 Audi A6

There is only one other vehicle on U.S. News’ list that comes with a lower average price tag than the 2010 Audi A6, but not by much. The average buyer will spend as little as $7,500 and as much as $13,000 on this used model, but even on the higher end, this price is a true value. The 2010 Audi A6 receives a higher overall score from U.S. News experts than any other used model on the list, earning an impressive 9.1/10.

According to U.S. News’ review of the 2010 Audi A6, the midsize sedan performs well enough to receive excellent scores in all evaluation categories, earning the No. 2 ranking among all 2010 luxury midsize cars and the No. 4 spot among all used luxury midsize cars for under $20,000. Even with a few years under its belt, the 2010 A6’s excellent safety scores, above-average reliability rating, and lower-than-average cost of ownership make its used status barely applicable.

For only a portion of the price of a new Audi, the 2010 Audi A6 comes with the brand’s recognizable stylish exterior and a “well-built interior” despite its older age. Available engines range from an efficient six-cylinder making 265 hp, to a more powerful eight-cylinder making 350 hp. Audi’s all-wheel-drive Quattro system is available on all A6 models above the base trim. And although owners may not get all the modern amenities of a new Audi, the 2010 A6 still includes the brand’s infotainment system, satellite radio, and even leather upholstery.
