A Silverado? Sort Of, But It’s A Czech Bureko 6×6
This is a weird mashup of Chevy Silverado and Czech six-wheel madness. A company in the Czech Republic takes Chevy Silverados, adds up to 1,200 hp, and turns them into these apocalyptic mashmobiles. We don’t know why. Maybe it is because they can, but that’s not really a reason, is it? There are lots of stages and options and why not?
Bureko can start with either a Double Cab or Crew Cab. That’s because it’s what Chevy offers since this is what kickstarts this mayhem. From there it gets cut and lengthened to allow for the second axle. Done to a Crew Cab this sucker measures 20-feet, 4-inches long.
Custom Bureko body panels hide the Silverado hiding underneath
Custom body panels are added for the 6×6’s distinctive look. There are custom paint options that in one instance look like it’s channeling Batmobile cues. The grille is reminiscent of a Hummer H2 front end with “Bureko” letters affixed to each grille screen.
Bureko will give you different stages of power starting with the stock 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp. They can upgrade the power to between 600 hp and 1,200 hp with lots of stages in between. Once you get to 1,000 hp there’s a supercharger with the displacement hogged out to 7.0-liters.
Inside the Bureko it’s identical to a Silverado because it is a Silverado
Inside it’s identical to a Silverado because it is a Silverado, or at least it was. Bureko orders highly-optioned trucks so leather and lots of tech are part of the deal.
Specs are huge-by-wide. Weight comes in at 6,040-pounds, and surprisingly it is street legal in Europe. With its size and weight that is a bit surprising especially imagining it rumbling into small French towns. We guess if they could support US Sherman and Nazi Panzer tanks during WWII they can handle this heavyweight.
Here’s some of the hype from Bureko, “The power of the volcano. The eruption of enthusiasm. Scorching passion. Geysers of spurting emotions. Hephaestus himself, the son of Zeus and Hera, the lame god of fire and the blacksmith of gods, started to work together with his helpers. He blew giant bellows under Mount Vesuvius and Etna. He worked tirelessly for long centuries, and using his hammer, anvil, and tongs, he conjured up a jewel of inestimable value.” Yeah, we know.
Here’s more Bureko hype, hope you don’t mind
There’s more, are you ready? During this time, perhaps hundreds of suns died out and the galaxy changed its appearance countless times. However, Hephaestus did not draw in his horns and he persevered to the end. Finally, it was finished. From dark flames in deep caverns near the hot Earth’s core, a work of art of unprecedented beauty, unrelenting force and elegant shapes arose. Similar to the mythical Prometheus who stole fire from the Olympian Gods and gave it to the first humans, which changed their destiny forever, we want to give humans a revolutionary invention. BUREKO cars have proclaimed an irreconcilable war against all cunning enemies such as boredom, idleness, grey and ordinariness. Our guns include top quality, many years of proven experience, state-of-the-art technologies, innovations inspired by original dreams and commitment to follow through with our novel ideas.”
Bureko will only be making 25, that is if they can find 25 individuals willing to fork over $340,000 apiece. Oh, and don’t forget those Euro taxes; they’re not included.
