When Aaron Paul played the lead in Need for Speed, he got to enjoy creating movie magic with one of his biggest passions, cars.
When the movie premiered, DreamWorks gave Aaron a 1969 Ford Torino. He drove it in the movie and on the red carpet.
Eventually, he decided to get some work done to keep his beloved convertible in top shape. He explained that it’s been my baby, and he loves it, but it was in the shop for three years.
Reportedly, the shop was taking its sweet time. Aaron claims that every time he called the shop to pick up his car the mechanic asked about adding something else. He agreed to multiple extra features because the Ford was already there.
Eventually, Aaron was fed up and just wanted his car back. But he couldn’t get in touch with the mechanic so he hopped in another one of his cars and drove down to the shop.
But it was gone! He received a call from a different mechanic who claimed that he had taken over the shop after the original owner vanished.
Apparently, the 1969 Ford Torino sat outside in the elements for years. It got rusty and torn up before completely disappearing. The mechanic never completed any of the work Aaron paid for and is still missing.
But he still has other trucks, SUVs, and cars to enjoy. His collection includes a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Land Rover Defender 90, and a Mercedes EQS EV.
