Aaron Rodgers Was Caught in a GMC Canyon Flexing Beer
I guess when your football season ends, it’s time to party because Aaron Rodgers was spotted in the back of a GMC Canyon flexing beer. The GMC Canyon supposedly belongs to a teammate, and this was a pretty dangerous and irresponsible move.
Aaron Rodgers caught with Bud Light in the back of a GMC Canyon
According to the New York Post, Aaron Rodgers was spotted in the back of a red pickup truck showing off a case of Bud Light. We can tell that the GMC truck is a GMC Canyon because Arron makes it seem small, meaning it must be a midsize option. Plus, you can see the square shape of the taillights in the video.
The Greenbay Packers were knocked out of the playoffs by Tampa Bay, meaning the season is over for Aaron and his teammates. But the GMC pickup truck was driving back to Lambeau Field after practice.
But this was terrible behavior. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, it’s illegal to ride in the back of a truck. If you’re over the age of 16, it’s illegal to ride in the open cargo area of light trucks.
Aaron Rodgers had no shame and admitted to being in the back of the truck on Twitter, saying, Ya that was me.”, with a few emojis. No open beers were spotted, or else this story would be way more scandalous. Also, Bud Light is the official beer of the NFL.
But why drive a GMC Canyon?
According to A.J. Hawk, a former teammate, this is the ride you have to make back to Lambeau if you just have the back of somebody’s truck. His statement didn’t make much sense. However, the Canyon is only a midsize truck.
Perhaps if the driver upgraded to the larger GMC sierra, everyone would have enough space in the cab with their beer and pads. It’s unclear if Rodgers decided to ride in the back or if he had to.
Also, we aren’t sure what year the Canyon is. But the 2021 GMC Canyon begins around $26,400. That makes it competitively priced against rival trucks. For example, the Ford Ranger begins at around $24,820, and the Honda Ridgeline starts at about $33,900.
Is the 2021 Canyon a good truck?
Yes, the 2021 GMC Canyon is a good truck. It ranks pretty well with most critics because it provides a comfortable ride, is easy to maneuver, and provides plenty of towing muscle. The Canyon can tow up to 7,000 lb.
There are three engine options too:
- 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque.
- 3.6-liter V6 engine with 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.
- 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.
The Canyon Denali can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.9 seconds and offers comfort while doing so. But the seats have firm backrests, and the rear seats are fairly upright. Maybe it’s not comfortable enough for Aaron.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, the Wifi hotspot is easy to use, and it can handle up to seven devices. However, there are only two USB ports in the front and back to charge devices.
