Jaguar isn’t the first manufacturer to come to mind when you think of luxury performance (or electric) SUVs. But the British manufacturer that is known for making beautiful sports cars makes three SUVs that are stylish, quick, and quirky. For the 2023 model year the big updates are inside the engine bay and inside the cabin. So, what’s changing for Jags SUVs in 2023?

All Jaguar SUVs get new tech inside

While there are no major changes to the exteriors of Jaguar’s SUVs, the interiors get new tech. Across the Jaguar line, if you order the Pivi Pro infotainment system, you get Amazon Alexa. Pivi Pro features navigation, media playback calls, and more from compatible devices. Also, all 2023 Jaguars now have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Small Jaguar E-Pace is paired down

The E-Pace is Jaguar’s smallest SUV and it’s known for its coddling stylish interior that feels like a Jag should, at least in the front seat. The back seat may be smaller than rivals’ but it’s still a luxurious place to be. The 2023 E-Pace SUV is reduced to a single version. You can only order it in P250 trim, which includes the 236-horsepower engine.

The base price rises from $42,850 to $48,000 for 2023. However, adaptive cruise control is now standard. The only new options include a Premium Black Pack with 21-inch black wheels and black styling elements. While reviewers praise its fun-to-drive quotient, it’s not Consumer Reports’ favorite.

The F-Pace keeps its premium trim, gets updated engines

For 2023, Jaguar’s performance SUV ups the ante. The 340s and P400 packages are gone. But that’s not a bad thing as the new F-Pace 400 R Dynamic S, which is the 395-horsepower mild hybrid version, steps in for $46,800. The top line 400 from 2022 is now the F-Pace 550 SVR which brings an impressive 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that makes it the top performance SUV from Jaguar for $89,500.

The F-Pace has been around for seven years and has not seen many major updates. It was Jaguar’s first SUV and competes with the hopped-up versions of the Audi Q5, and Porsche Macan. It’s a lower-production model and has some quirks, but to Jaguar fans, those are features not bugs. The $110,000 F-PACE SVR Edition 1988 pays homage to Jaguar’s racing heritage with a bespoke trim that only 394 lucky people will get to buy.

E-Pace stays mostly the same

The all-electric $71,300  I-Pace (which should be the E-Pace, but we digress) now has a sport seat option and wireless charging. The all-wheel-drive I-Pace doesn’t get any major updates for 2023, but remains a performance SUV with a a dual-motor drivetrain that makes 394 horsepower. It comes standard with a host of cool tech, a futuristic wagon-like body, and a 253-mile range. It competes with the Tesla Model X and the new Audi e-tron, and in 2022 it was updated with a new fast charger that drastically shortened charging times.
