Watch Amazon Fire TV in Your 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer might be your new favorite place to watch TV. The upcoming Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will incorporate Amazon Fire TV into its auto technology so passengers can watch movies and shows.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer adds Amazon Fire TV
According to Auto Blog, the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is taking a step further than others toward becoming a living room on wheels. Jeep has asked Amazon for help to incorporate Fire TV tech into its technology system.
The Fire TV for Auto tech will allow passengers to sync their Amazon account with the Uconnect5 infotainment software to play their favorite titles in the cabin. They specified that this is for passengers, not the driver.
How does the Grand Wagoneer Fire TV system work?
If someone else is driving, then you can watch TV shows and movies while traveling at high speeds or while stuck in rush-hour traffic. Your Amazon account will be synced, too. So you can pause your show and pick up where you left off inside.
The front seat and rear passengers will be able to see the content. A privacy filter will block the driver so they aren’t tempted to watch. The media can be displayed on the central infotainment screen when the Grand Wagoneer is in park. Also, you can download content at home and play it in areas without a network connection.
If you opt for this feature, then you’ll get a special Fire Stick that includes push-to-talk access with Alexa to help you quickly find your favorite shoes. It also has a button that linked the technology to the Android-powered infotainment system. Use the remote to navigate apps and channel menus on the dashboard-mounted screens too.
Fire TV for Auto will be bundled with other services available with the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. We don’t know how much this service will cost yet. Also, the services that will be bundled with it haven’t been announced.
What else do we know about the Jeep Grand Wagoneer?
Not much! The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be introduced tomorrow on March 11. So, we will have more to go on in less than 24 hours! We will get to see the Jeep Wagoneer and the more luxurious Grand Wagoneer in action.
The photos that were released a few months back were of the Grand Wagoneer concept. It could look a little different based on consumer feedback and because of any issues that drivers found during testing.
It will be larger than the three-row 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and may incorporate an LED light bar that stretches across the width of the grille. Teaser shots of the interior show tons of leather and chrome.
This massive Jeep SUV will include plenty of massive screens. There will be a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.1-inch central touchscreen. The front passenger may get their own screen too.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer models will be available in the summer of 2021. The Wagoneer is expected to begin at about $60,000, but the fully-loaded Grand Wagoneer may start at about $100,000. This will allow the new SUV to compete against nonluxury rivals such as the Chevy Tahoe and luxury rivals like the Cadillac Escalade.
