Amazon Users Can Win a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
There might be a ton of hype behind Dodge’s next-gen electric muscle cars, but the Dodge Challenger is still immensely popular. Few muscle cars have faced failure only to return better than ever. The Dodge Challenger is also highly customizable with several trims, potent engines, and interior options.
Of course, many Challenger trims are also more expensive than the average sports car. A fully loaded new model runs at least $84,000, and the cheapest one still costs over $30,000. Fortunately, you can get one for free, courtesy of Amazon.

What comes standard on a 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat?
As its name suggests, the SRT Hellcat comes with a supercharged version of the beloved Hellcat V8. This model produces 717 hp and 658 lb-ft of torque and comes standard with an optional eight-speed automatic transmission. But those who favor an old-school experience can stick with the standard six-speed manual gearbox.
When Car and Driver tested the SRT Hellcat Widebody, it blitzed from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Even though it’s one of the heaviest cars in its class, it exhibits a surprising lack of body lean. However, C/D cautioned that straight-line acceleration with so much power is no easy task.
Additionally, the Bilstein suspension can feel particularly harsh if you’re not driving on a racing track. Even so, it’s hard to deny the allure of the Hellcat’s melodious engine screams. Brembo brakes are standard, and you can also opt for a set of Pirelli racing tires.
Despite its flashy racing appeal, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat still has a decent degree of utility. It’s definitely one of the roomiest sports cars, seating five riders on luxurious houndstooth seats. With 16 cubic feet of trunk space, it can also carry a decent amount of luggage.
However, the Dodge Challenger’s interior is shockingly bland, covered in chunky black plastic and a drab color scheme. The graphics on the center touchscreen also appear dated, but at least the interface is easy to use.
Even on the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, you’d have to pay extra for many of the available convenience and tech features. You could splurge on a Harmon Kardon sound system, power sunroof, and Laguna leather seats with memory settings. Each SRT Hellcat also comes with a Deluxe Security Alarm to deter thieves.
Is this iconic muscle car worth owning?
Though it’s not the most opulent trim, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is still a hefty investment starting at $61,850. The Hellcat V8 produces plenty of power, but its poor fuel economy doesn’t make it a good daily driver. The Challenger’s safety scores are also historically below average, though it offers are a few useful optional safety features.
If Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is paying for the ride, go for it. You could always trade in the Challenger for another car of your choice. However, we recommend testing that Hellcat engine before deciding to sell.
