Congratulations to the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 for winning the Adventure Truck of the Year award by GearJunkie. 

The Colorado and other contenders were pushed to their limits in a grueling off-road test from Las Vegas to Reno, Nevada. 

Each vehicle crossed 700 miles of grueling terrain. While most of the time was spent off-roading, some trips were made on the pavement to gas stations, restaurants, and hotels. 

The Colorado proved its rugged nature with an impressive performance in the wild. The only struggles were related to easily tearing tire side walls. 

GearJunkie Editor, Bryan Dorr, shared that he’s a huge fan of the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2, and provides tons of value at $50,000. While the truck isn’t inexpensive it is playful on and off the road. 

It also provides all the creature comforts you would expect in 2023. Plus, it’s a good size all around for the trails and trips around town.

It defeated rivals like the Ford Maverick, Toyota Tacoma, Rivian R1T, and the Ford Ranger to win this award. 

What comes with the Colorado ZR2?

The 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 is equipped with a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. 

The Colorado ZR2 also features:
