We’ve seen many an extreme 6×6 pickup, and also a multitude of off-the-charts builds from Apocalypse 6×6 in Florida. But we’ve never seen anything like this. It’s called Juggernaut. 

Juggernaut takes things way beyond other Apocalypse projects

You’ve seen the Apocalypse 6×6 Bronco, Jeep Gladiator, and Ram TRX trucks. The Ram trucks even have three different levels, Hellfire, Dark Horse, and Warlord. While they’re all wild and extreme unto themselves, the Juggernaut makes those look like Tonka toys, as you can see. 

Apocalypse starts with your basic Ram 1500 TRX, if you can call the TRX “basic”.  From there, it does its typical triple install of Dana 60 axles, if you could call that “typical”.  But then, things go crazy. 

What’s the Juggernaut Ram 6×6 towing capacity?

The tires are 40-inch tall and mounted on large aftermarket wheels. To this point, these modifications add up to a 20,000 lb towing capacity. The axles are locking, and also incorporate full-time six-wheel drive. 

Then there are the driving modes. Apocalypse equips the Juggernaut with Sport, Drag Race, Baja, Rocks, and Mud modes. From there, there are many more modifications, mostly visual, to stir your heart. Or maybe yank it from your chest?

What’s up with those giant wheel arches?

Handmade steel bumpers, power steps, blind sport monitor, aerial camera, and a panoramic roof are some of its features. But the real gotcha mod is the wheel arches. They’re excessively, aggressively extreme. They’re less about function and more about visual paralyses. The towering fender flares at their apex jut above and beyond the hood and bed rails. 

From the front or the back, they look like huge fins we’re more familiar with seeing on mid-1950s luxo-barges like Cadillac and Chrysler. To be clear, they’re not fins. But they evoke images of the unnecessary appendages seen throughout the years that are more like automotive kitsch.

What extra features does the Juggernaut 6×6 Ram TRX have?

With the custom fastback cap along with its powered bed cover, the profile begins to conjure up images of the Tesla Cybertruck. And that cover is even remote controlled. Yes, Apocalypse 6×6 has thought of everything.

But there’s still more, like the massive grille. It swoops in and out and features aggressive, sharp cuts and angles. Above it rides a scooped hood with large vents on either side of it. Almost literally, every body surface is crammed with details and sculpturing. Around the windshield is the visor/frame incorporating an LED light bar into the visor. Again, no surface is left untouched, even the A-pillars and top. 

Does it only have 702 hp?

Inside, there is your typical black leather in abundance. It features heated and cooled seats and the “largest rear bench seat in the industry”. Naturally, a large Harmon-Kardon audio system and an additional 12-inch infotainment screen have been added. 

The highlight of every Ram TRX, the 6.2-liter Hellcat engine, is now only an afterthought. However, it has been spiked from the factory 702 hp to 850 hp. That should make up for the weight differential between a stock TRX and the Juggernaut. After all, everything needs to be absurdly extreme for this level of crazy.
