Both trucks are also available with advanced camera trailering technologies, including a new trailer length indicator, jack-knife alert, cargo bed view enhancement, rear trailer view with a trailer-angle indicator, and rear side view enhancement.

What’s the difference between the GMC Sierra and the Chevy Silverado?

Of course, as similar as they may be, there are some differences between the GMC Sierra and the Silverado. According to Kelley Blue Book, unlike the Chevy Silverado, the GMC Sierra “touts more premium flair.” Opt for the lavishly outfitted Sierra Denali, and you’ll find yourself spoiled by premium amenities like a 15″ diagonal multicolor head-up display, a rear camera mirror, and perforated leather seating surfaces.

According to Car and Driver, you’ll also notice a difference in the trucks’ cargo beds. While the Sierra boasts a carbon-fiber-reinforced cargo bed, the new Chevy Silverado does not. Fortunately, the new Silverado is available with a multifunction tailgate, which is similar to the Sierra’s MultiPro Tailgate. 

Pricing for each of these pickups also differs. While the Silverado boasts a starting price of $28,900, the GMC Sierra is more expensive and will have you spending at least $30,000 on a base model.

Are GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado parts interchangeable?

Now, because these trucks are so similar, you may find yourself asking if parts for them are interchangeable. Well, according to CJ Pony Parts, most parts will fit interchangeably for the GMC Sierra and the Chevy Silverado. That being said, before actually investing in or picking up aftermarket parts, you should confirm this as things may change.

Is the GMC Sierra or the Chevy Silverado better?

Because the GMC Sierra and the Chevy Silverado are so similar, this one really comes down to personal preference.
