Buying supercars is something that most people think is only attainable for the super-wealthy. While they certainly are far from what one might consider an affordable car, there are some options that may be a lot more affordable than you’d think. If you don’t think you’ll ever have the means to buy a brand new supercar, that’s absolutely fine. Instead, here are four supercars that are still reasonably attainable in 2022!

Lamborghini Gallardo

Supercar shoppers can still find an early Lamborghini Gallardo example for under $100,000. However, like most Lamborghini models, they are steadily on the rise. Low mileage examples, especially those equipped with a manual transmission, are starting to fetch higher and higher numbers. So, if it’s within fiscal reach, you should undoubtedly jump on the bandwagon before it’s too late.

With a screaming V10 engine placed in the middle of the chassis right behind the driver and its instantly identifiable exotic looks, the Lamborghini Gallardo is undoubtedly a supercar. While $100,000 is not the most attainable figure, it is quite a bit more affordable than buying the new equivalent–the Huracan.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage

This is where things start to get a little grey. While most will associate mid-engine vehicles in bright colors with Lamborghini-esque shapes as textbook supercars, there are a lot of arguments about what is or isn’t considered one. However, this attainable supercar list includes exotic cars with stellar performance that you wouldn’t expect to see running around in everyday traffic.

So, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage undoubtedly makes this list. It’s about as attainable as attainable comes, with examples consistently available for under $50,000. In fact, they’re fairly common for far less than that. Recently, one even sold for under $20,000.

The V8 Vantage is, of course, the entry-level Aston Martin. That being said, it still has phenomenal looks that immediately draw attention and a 380 horsepower V8 powerplant.

Ferrari 456M GT

The front-engine Ferrari 456M GT is the final model from the legendary prancing horse marque to come with popup headlights. That should instantly sell you on it being awesome, but let’s continue anyway.

Under the hood is a 5.5-liter V12 that makes 436 horsepower. You’re likely well aware of this, but it sounds unbelievably good just like any other Ferrari V12. However, unlike its V12 counterparts in the likes of the Ferrari Enzo or the multi-million dollar LaFerrari, you can buy one of these for about $70,000.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to stick with the Ferrari F1 automatic transmission to keep that price point. Fortunately, plenty of examples are available with that transmission because everyone thought it was the bee’s knees when it came out.

Manual transmission models are fetching six-figure numbers easily. That being said, even $100,000 is a pretty dang good deal for a manual transmission V12 Ferrari.

First Generation Honda/Acura NSX

There’s plenty of heated debate about whether or not the NSX qualifies as a supercar. Especially toward the end of its run, the NSX was lagging far behind its other mid-engine competitors. However, upon its release, the NSX was a full-fledge Ferrari killer that put the legendary Ferrari F355 to shame.

Later models, incidentally, are the most expensive examples of the first-generation NSX. While just a few short years ago, one could get an early example of an NSX for a ridiculously low price, they are still readily available in the $65,000 range.

While it may not net you the same type of acceleration as the other three vehicles on this attainable supercars countdown, it will absolutely blow your mind in corners. Better still, you get that signature Honda reliability and extremely affordable parts.

Attainable supercars aren’t an oxymoron!

While these prices are still out of reach for many, they definitely offer a more affordable offering into the exotic car world for many people. With Lamborghinis regularly selling for massive numbers over MSRP right now, it’s still nice to be able to cling to a bit of hope that maybe someday in the near future, there’s an affordable option.

If there’s one thing to keep in mind, though, it’s that these cars are likely to appreciate. So, if you’ve got the means, don’t waste any time! Pick one up!
