The cheapest convertible option has a starting price of $69,695. There aren’t too many changes for the 2022 model year save for a limited-edition appearance package. The package is inspired by the IMSA GTLM championship-winning competition Corvette and is priced at $6595 in addition to opting for the 3LT trim.

However, prospective buyers looking to spend the least on their Corvette should stick to the base 1LT trim level. They should also stay away from the new Amplify Tint Coat or the Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat paint colors as both options add about $1,000 to the bottom line. Fortunately, there are eight other colors to choose from that don’t increase the car’s price.

The Corvette Stingray 1LT has a lot to offer for the price

Part of what makes the base Chevy Corvette such a great value is that it’s loaded with standard features some of which can’t be found on some exotic cars. According to Kelley Blue Book, the most notable standard features include dual-zone auto climate control, a Bose 10-speaker audio system, OnStar, remote start, power-adjustable seats, rear parking sensors, and a limited-slip differential.

There’s also a 12-inch customizable digital display that sits in front of the driver and displays all kinds of pertinent information. And as for the infotainment system, the standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto phone integration.

Stepping up to the 2LT trim level will give the Corvette more convenience features like four additional audio speakers, a head-up display, and a front and rear camera. However, if you’re on a strict budget and want the most value out of your Corvette, the 1LT trim has a lot to offer.

Also, buyers wanting to save money by going with the coupe version will be happy to know that the roof is removable. Car and Driver reports that the roof panel can be removed and stored in the trunk. When the roof isn’t stored there, the rear trunk can fit up to two golf bags and there’s even a front trunk (frunk) for more storage.

Is the 2022 Corvette Stingray fast?

Although a new Corvette Z06 is due out sometime next year, which will likely have a more powerful engine, the standard version gets along just fine. For 2022, there’s only one engine choice: a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Sadly, it can only be mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, but the setup itself is nothing to sneeze at.

According to Car and Driver’s testing, the Corvette Stingray accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and down the quarter-mile in only 11.2 seconds. That’s supercar territory for sure.
