First, it’s cool that you can equip the Tesla Cybertruck with bulletproof windows. We aren’t sure where you will actually need them, but to each their own.
Anyways, the bulletproof windows don’t roll down. So say goodbye to quickly getting fresh air or hassle-free drive-through orders.
Next, to achieve the Tesla Cybertruck’s estimated 470 miles of range, you need the range extender. This device should provide an extra 120 miles as needed.
However, the range extender takes up 33% of the truck bed. So, even though it’s designed for longer trips, it comes at the expense of cargo space for your gear. It’s unclear how heavy it is, how much it costs, and how easy it is to install.
Say goodbye to being light and agile. The Cybertruck weighs between 6,603 to 6,843 lbs. That makes it quite hefty for off-roading. For comparison’s sake, the Ford F-150 Tremor rings in at 4,948 lbs. No wonder videos display the Cybertruck struggle to get up sandy inclines.
Never blend in again. The Cybetruck has a unique style with plenty of angles. It doesn’t look like a traditional truck, and the stainless steel frame stands out. People will probably watch you park, drive, and come up to ask questions about it.
How fast does the Cybertruck charge?
The charging time for the Tesla Cybertruck is still unclear because the charging architecture isn’t ready yet. Most charging stations aren’t equipped to charge the Cybertruck’s larger battery. It needs stalls with 800V architecture.
So, forget about getting plenty of range in only 15 to 20 minutes for now. This time frame is just an estimation anyway.
At the end of the day, with the Cybertruck, you give up certainty. That’s not good for those who want to drive with peace of mind.
