The first two Bad Boy movies came out in 1995 and 2003 and shared the same theme of chasing the bad guys with fast cars. The first movie showcased a Porsche 911 Turbo driven by the duo of Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, played by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. 

The next film came out in 2003, and this time the two cops exchanged the Porsche for a Ferrari 550 Maranello, another impressive fast car. It’s no surprise that, with the third movie hitting the theaters recently, it would showcase another drool-worthy Porsche. The real star of the ‘Bad Boys for Life’ movie

The new Bad Boys for Life movie came out this year, and brought us action-packed adventure, car chases, explosions, gunfights, and pure adrenaline. Smith and Lawrence reprised their roles from the first and second movies that found its way into theaters 17 years ago. But, the real star from this film was the high-speed car that the Bad Boys drove to fight crime in, which was the new Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. 

The premise of the movie comes from the cops who trade in the average vehicle to drive a jaw-dropping fast car to chase down the criminals. The shiny new Porsche we saw on the screen was hard to miss, in fact it overshadowed some of the other elements we saw in most of the scenes. Really, who could miss an expensive car like this adorned with the Porsche logo?

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has a traction-based performance that can handle sharp corners at high speed, accelerates hard and fast with a 2.8 second time for 0 to 60 with the ability to stop quickly in short distances.

The power behind the impressive acceleration time is a 443 hp twin-turbo 24-valve flat-six engines that they mated to an exceptional eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. 

The two-door coupe sports a rear engine bay and an all-wheel drivetrain for even better road performance. Fuel economy isn’t half-bad either with the Carrera 4S. EPA ratings gives it a combination score of 20 mpg and 23 mpg on the highway. Autoblog reports it has an updated styling, wider base, and 21-inch rear wheel offerings.

Relatively tall drivers will like the two front seats that will reasonably accommodate them, even though headroom could be scant for some of the really tall owners.

The two rear seats, however, won’t support the room needed for adults to sit in, but two small children could theoretically sit comfortably back there. Infant seats would be difficult unless you don’t have anyone occupying the front seat so it could get pushed forward.

Pricing starts at $121,850 for the base trim and could go as high as $140,000 depending on what options you decide you need to have. Car and Driver report that the new Carrera 4S is not much different from the Carrera S.

In fact, the only things setting them apart are the fact that the 4S has an all-wheel drive train and that the price is about $7,300 more than the S model.

In the long run, it doesn’t really matter because the Carrera 4S name and the fact that it probably should get its acting credits at the end of the film as the third big star of the movie makes the higher price worth it.
