The 2009 Chevy Tahoe is an older model year that you can trust. It has an above-average reliability rating. An average 2009 Tahoe is expected to surpass 300,000 miles. 

Critics praise the standard V8 engine, but other options do provide more power. It can tow up to 82,000 lbs. Plus, this Tahoe year receives praise for being comfortable. 

A few problems may involve a cracked dashboard. You can install a cover for $100 or replace the trim for about $1000. Excessive oil consumption could be caused by needing to replace rings and gaskets for about $1,500.
