The Best Electric SUVs According to Edmunds
It’s not news to anyone that electric SUVs are rising in popularity. As an overall, SUVs have become more and more popular in the past several years and combined that with a growing market for electric vehicles, it only makes sense that electric SUVs would be prospering. If you’re ready to make the switch to an electric vehicle without losing the practicality of driving an SUV, sacrificing an enjoyable driving experience, or ditching the comfort of luxury, then these electric luxury SUVs are definitely worth your time and money.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
Despite scrutiny over the name choice, the Mustang Mach-E makes for a pretty cool electric SUV, and it packs in quite a bit of luxury. It has the potential for being one of Ford’s best luxury SUVs as it dotes high-quality design and materials inside and out. According to Edmunds, it’s one of the most well-rounded electric SUVs currently on the market, winning its spot as #1 on their list.
Audi e-tron
Not to be confused with the Audi e-tron GT, the brand’s flagship performance electric sedan, the Audi e-tron as an electric luxury SUV is a great choice from a familiar brand. The e-tron has all of the subdued and luxurious appearances of their more familiar SUV models inside and out, with the added bonus of having an all-electric drivetrain.
We can’t forget Tesla’s electric luxury SUVs
Tesla made the Edmunds list not once but twice, within the top 5, but that shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone. The brand was featured for specific trim levels of their short lineup of cars, namely the Tesla Model X Long Range and Tesla Model Y Performance. The Tesla brand is highly regarded for its focus on everything electric, from SUVs to Semis, but they don’t make any sacrifices with performance or luxury. In fact, it’s the one brand that goes so far out of their way to give their owners every reason to love the car, like quirky and fun ‘Easter eggs.’
While there are still plenty of other options for electric vehicles, spanning between cars and SUVs, these pricier options might just be worth the dive, especially if you don’t like making sacrifices or compromising.
