If you ask owners, Honda SUVs are some of the best options on the road. A recent study sounds that these are the best Honda SUVs for reliability and will hopefully last 200,000 miles or more. For those who aren’t set on a sport utility vehicle, there is a good option for a truck and even a minivan.

One of the best Honda SUVs for reliability is the Pilot

When iSeeCars looked at some of the SUVs with the longest potential lifespan, the Honda Pilot was in the top 20. Studies found that some Honda Pilot SUVs on the road has the potential to last 236,807 miles or more. That means some Pilots on the road have more than that number of miles, which isn’t guaranteed. However, having some high-mileage Honda Pilot SUVs on the road is a good sign for those looking for a long-term vehicle.

The Pilot has room for eight passengers and has plenty of standard safety features, depending on the year. A new Honda Pilot will run you somewhere between $38,000 and $52,000, but a three-year-old version is slightly more affordable. iSeeCars says you can anticipate paying between $31,798 and $45,877.

The Honda Pilot is one of the more reliable three-row SUVs on the market and around 2.5% of Pilots on the road have 200,000 miles or more on the odometer.

The CR-V is one of the best Honda SUVs

Buyers looking for a reliable SUV with a long potential lifespan might find everything needed in the Honda SUV. In this iSeeCars study, the Honda CR-V’s potential lifespan was 215,930 miles. That means some ran even longer than that. What can you do to get your Honda SUV to 215,000 miles? Regular maintenance like oil changes, coolant flushes, and replacement of parts as needed will help extend the life of any vehicle.

Compared to some of the CR-V’s competition, this Honda came in first for longest-lasting, safest, and most fuel-efficient SUV. A new Honda CR-V starts at just over $32,000 and goes past $39,000 for the top-level trim. iSeeCars says buyers can anticipate paying between $27,000 and $36,000 for a three-year-old version.

Honda’s CR-V was second for the most reliable vehicle in the small SUV category. More than 1.4% of Honda CR-Vs on the road have more than 200,000 miles, which is still higher than the average of 0.9%. The CR-V is a good option on the list of the best Honda SUVs for reliability.

Don’t overlook the Ridgeline and the Odyssey

If you are still interested in a Honda with a long potential lifespan but aren’t sold on an SUV, the Ridgeline truck and Odyssey minivan are worth a second look. The Honda Ridgeline truck was actually in the top 10 overall, with a potential lifespan of 248,669 miles. Buyers like the Ridgeline because it is comfortable like an SUV but has the capability of a truck. For those interested in the Honda Odyssey, the potential lifespan of that minivan was 235,852 miles.

While the CR-V and Pilot are some of the best Honda SUVs for reliability, the automaker has plenty of other vehicles to choose from. However, you might have a better shot of hitting 200,000 miles in these two SUVs.
