While the Yukon might not be everyone’s cup of tea for large luxury SUVs, the top-level trim has a lot to offer buyers. Don’t forget, the XL has a max towing capacity of 8,000 pounds and a max payload of 1,760 pounds.

GMC included some essential safety features standard to keep all eight passengers safe. Forward collision warning (FCW) and automatic emergency braking (AEB) is included. While it didn’t get any awards, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 GMC Yukon XL a four-star overall crash rating.
