The Nissan Titan is an underdog as one of the best used trucks you can buy. Ever since it debuted in 2023, it has proven itself as a reliable work truck with stout V8 power. 

But not every model year was created or built equally. Avoid lemons by sticking to the best Nissan Titan years. 

1. 2013 Nissan Titan 

Despite being older, the 2013 Nissan Titan is a safe bet. It has an above-average reality rating of 4.3 out of 5.0. The average 2013 Titan is expected to last over 300,000 miles. But regular care is the key to survival. 

The 2013 Titan has a 5.6-liter V8 engine with 317 hp. It can tow up to 9,500 lbs, which falls short compared to rivals. The 2013 Ford F-150 can tow up to 11,300 lbs. 

A few common issues include minor trim piece problems such as a detaching handle and false TPM warning light notifications. Drivers have hardly reported any complaints about this truck. 

2. 2019 Nissan Titan 

The 2019 Nissan Titan shines with more modern tech and safety features. It’s another model with an above-average reliability rating. The 2019 Titan can last over 300,000 miles with routine maintenance.

With the standard 5.6-liter V8 engine, you get 390 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. Despite having more muscle, the towing capacity maxes out at 9,660 lbs.

A few potential problems to watch out for include electrical issues. The radio might come on by itself. Apple CarPlay might disconnect. However, a recall should have remedied these issues already.

3. 2024 Nissan Titan

A brand new model is included on the list of best Nissan Titan years. The 2024 Titan is the last model year available because it has been discontinued due to declining sales. 

The sales are related to the truck age. It hasn’t been updated in years, but the 5.6-liter V8 engine with 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque is very reliable. 

J.D.Power gave the 2024 Titan a reliability rating of 88 out of 100 which is great. It’s above average. Scores between 70 and 80 are average while anything between 81 and 90 is above average. 

The rating is based on feedback from actual owners and it has an extremely low amount of complaints. It can also tow up to 10,900 lbs.
