Both of these vehicles arrived with a solid reputation for durability, and there are some excellent used model years to consider. Here are the best Sequoia years for long-lasting service. 

1. 2011 Toyota Sequoia 

First, we have the 2011 Toyota Sequoia, which is free from the rust problem that plagued earlier model years. It has a higher-than-average reliability rating and won the best affordable large SUV for families in 2011. 

The 2011 Sequoia is unique because it has two muscular V8 engine options available and can tow up to 7,500 lbs. 

An average 2011 Sequoia model should be well-equipped to last over 300,000 miles. Some examples have even surpassed 400,000 miles. 

2. 2015 Toyota Sequoia 

If you want a used SUV with a few modern amenities then check out the 2015 Toyota Sequoia. It only has the larger 5.7-liter V8 engine available, but that’s a good thing. This engine has proven its ability to last, even under harsh conditions. 

The 2015 Sequoia is known for its ability to last over 300,000 miles and could even surpass 400,000 miles. However, proper care and maintenance is key.

3. 2020 Toyota Sequoia 

Another one of the best Sequoia years is from 2020, allowing families to enjoy modern tech and advanced safety features. 

The 2020 Sequoia still uses the 5.7-liter V8 engine, which isn’t the best for saving money at the fuel pump. However, it is the best for withstanding years of abuse. 

It’s another example that will easily surpass 300,000 miles. With regular care and proper maintenance, it could even reach 500,000 miles.
