Depending on the trim level and mileage, a 2017 Ridgeline will likely cost around $30,000. It is worth noting that the used market is still recovering from extremely high prices, so it is possible that prices will drop at some point. Still, buying a 2017 version of this truck is cheaper than buying new. 

Compared to other mid-size trucks, the Honda Ridgeline is pretty unique. It uses unibody construction which means a comfortable ride. And it boasts things like under-bed storage as well as other convenience features. 

The 2017 Ridgeline features the same engine as the new Ridgeline. And that means you will get a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-foot of torque. A bad cylinder can be replaced by a mechanic, but oftentimes, it’s best just to put a new engine in. The key is getting the problem fixed before you drive too much. Even though the problem can be fixed, it’s probably best not to mess with the 2006 Ridgeline. By 2009, this mid-size truck had most of its issues resolved. 

Should you buy Honda’s mid-size truck?

If you want a mid-size truck, but do not need something that is extremely capable, the Ridgeline is a good pick. It might be more expensive than some of the other trucks out there, but it brings a lot to the table.
