If you need the best used Lexus RX SUV years for your next vehicle, check out these two options below. Lexus knows how to make a reliable sport utility vehicle with plenty of luxury. While the RX has changed a bit over the years, it has a long history of reliability following it.

2018 is one of the best used Lexus RX SUV years to look for

The best used Lexus RX SUV years include this 2018 version

When Edmunds reviewed the 2018 Lexus RX 350, it had many positive attributes. The Lexus RX comes with a high-quality cabin, and the luxury construction buyers are looking for. The ride quality is top-notch, and Lexus includes several safety features standard. The cargo area doesn’t look noteworthy, but the wide opening makes it easy to load and unload whatever you might have. 2018 is one of the best used Lexus RX SUV years to try and find.

The standard safety features include forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the 2018 Lexus RX its Top Safety Pick award. Edmunds says it is comfortable enough for long road trips and suitable for everyday driving.

List Price Range: $32,588 – $45,998

2009 is another one of the best used Lexus RX years to look for

Much of the same is true of the 2009 Lexus SUV. Lexus made the cabin upscale and included easy-to-use technology. The RX was still riding on a reliability high, and while this is considered a luxury SUV, pricing is pretty reasonable these days. Owners also report that Lexus offers one of the better dealership experiences. This luxury SUV can even tow 3,500 pounds for whatever you might need for a weekend trip, making 2009 one of the best used Lexus RX SUV years.

Due to its age, many of today’s standard safety features weren’t around yet. It did have daytime running lights, electronic stability control, and anti-lock brakes. The IIHS didn’t give it an overall safety rating, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave it many five-star reviews.

List Price Range: $16,990 – $18,590

Avoid the 2019 version of this Lexus sport utility vehicle

While the 2019 Lexus RX offers positives, the other options don’t have the immaculate record. Edmunds says, “outright performance isn’t the name of the RX 350’s game.” This is true, but Lexus isn’t really trying to be that performance SUV. It accelerates when needed, but the zero to 60 mph time is 7.9 seconds. All-wheel drive was an option in 2019.

Forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking are all included standard. The IIHS gave it many good scores, but it missed out on the Top Safety Pick. Overall, there are better-equipped luxury SUVs for the money.

List Price Range: $33,599 – $50,998

When it comes down to it, Lexus is known for making reliable SUVs. These years are no exception, but the 2019 model could be better. However, finding a good deal on a 2019 RX with low miles might be better than a 2018 version with high miles. You might be able to find a Certified Pre-Owned version with some warranty left, which is always a good idea.
