The Honda Ridgeline is one of the best used trucks for the money
The experts from iSeeCars are back with another interesting study about the best used trucks for the money. After studying the potential lifespan of these trucks, iSeeCars determined that the Honda Ridgeline is one of the best 10-year-old trucks. It has an average price of $18,725 and a potential lifespan of 248,669 miles. After 10 years, there is still the potential to put another 129,513 miles on the odometer.
How does iSeeCars determine how many miles are left on a vehicle? It looked at the sale of two million used cars to see which ones had the longest lifespan. After that, it compared those models to current used car values. Karl Brauer, an Executive Analyst at iSeeCars, says that while 10-year-old vehicles cost a lot less than five-year-old vehicles, these options still have plenty of life left.
“Some, like the Toyota Prius, Toyota Avalon, and Honda Ridgeline, have more than 125,000 miles to go. And all of these top 20 cars provide a potential lifespan above 200,000 miles.”

Further analysis showed that the Ridgeline cost around $145 per 1,000 miles on the odometer. That’s far below the truck segment average of $191 per 1,000 miles.
Chevrolet’s Colorado is another one of the best used trucks for the money
Next on the list is the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. The Colorado has a potential lifespan of 200,554 miles but only costs an average of $15,277 for a 10-year-old version. That works out to about $162 per 1,000 miles.

As far as the truck segment goes, the average cost per 1,000 miles is $191. The analysis also found that the average price of a 10-year-old truck was around $19,552, with a potential lifespan of 228,059.
Toyota had two trucks on the list, the Tundra, and Tacoma, and both of Nissan’s trucks made the list. The Ford F-150 is expected to last 232,650 miles and only cost about $199 per 1,000 miles.
While the Honda Ridgeline topped the truck list, the Chevy Impala came in first overall
In the top 10 for all cars, trucks, and sport utility vehicles, the Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to make the list. For the most part, sedans and SUVs were the longest-lasting options for the money. The Chevrolet Impala sedan was the best car for the money, with a price of only $87 per 1,000 miles. With a potential lifespan of 230,343 and an average price of only $9,706, the Impala certainly offers the most bang for anyone’s buck.
